9/20 HallowWeekends visit

This was our first ever hallowWeekend trip. We enjoyed our early entry rides on MF, then headed to line up for Mantis. I opted to not ride as 3 others in my group of 5 hadn't rode yet. We got to Maverick around 11:30, and rode by noon. We had spent a good portion or early afternoon in the back of the park, but headed up front and then the crowds were heavy. Very heavy. We go often enough so the wait times didn't bother me. After a car break, we headed back in around 6:15. My daughter & friend wanted to do the 'scary stuff', so we headed to Zombie High School. 2 of our party decided to split off and go ride Raptor. The line wasn't long at all-but moved at a snails pace getting people in. Many people left the line commenting how the entrance attendants were mis-managing their time & execution of letting the groups in. Either way , we waited and had fun! I liked the props alot, but saw alot of screamsters just wandering about-not even trying to scare. The rain rolled in around 8:30pm, and pretty much stopped all rides, so the haunted areas were packed. We did a walk through of Frontier Town-great time! we also did CarnEvil-liked it alot! But my best scare as of yet(not tried them all) was Cut Throat Cove. I don't typically do haunted areas, but worth my daughter & friend having a blast! We didn't catch any shows-but plan on making a few more trips to get everything in. My big let down was not getting on TTD. Down most of day due to wind, then evening rain.

I have to agree, the park was pretty packed yesterday. It was literally shoulder to shoulder people, especially on the Main Midway. When I went on the Blue Streak, the parking lot looked completely full, but I still had a lot of fun. I got on the Maverick early too, and only waited 45 minutes, which is a fantastic wait time for Maverick on a Saturday HalloWeekends. I got lucky with the MaxAir, too, and got on it after a couple of cycles when they just reopened it after closing down.

I guess some people's version of "packed" varies from others. Yesterday wasn't that bad. It's only going to get busier on Saturdays.

I don't know, it seemed pretty full. Later in the day, there was little room to walk on the Main Midway. I had to keep weaving through people. I'm sure it's been worse, but like I said, it was packed.

His point really was the usage of the word packed, which you used...again :) From what I saw on the cams, it wasn't "packed" by any definition I use. You want packed, look again on 10/11.

The back of park seemed vacant until about 3pm. We seemed to breeze through all the rides with no worry. The longest wait was trying to get pop at The Round-Up. I took 45 min., and that's not exaggeration. I timed it. After visiting Dippin Dots, I know why. CP has a program where students can come work(volunteer) their time for payment towards a school organization they belong to. I think that's great, but maybe more supervision, as many had no idea as what to do, or in what was considered a timely manner.

^ Agree with what you said about more supervision needed. It seems what normally would have been a 5 minute wait on one ride has been turned into 20 minutes. I noticed this especially on Millennium. In the summer one train was already halfway up the hill by the time the one in front reached the final break run but now the trains are stacked for a good 30 seconds before a train is dispatched. I hope this gets better as we get farther into halloweekends.
