I live about 10 hours away, so I only get 1 yearly trip to The Point. I am originally from Michigan, so I am used to going several times a year... but now that I live in Tennessee, it is a little more difficult to go.
I usually go late September as I LOVE Halloweekends, but I know the later you go, the bigger risk for bad weather and huge crowds, so it is normally pretty safe to go in September.
I am not going to bore you with every ride that we did... but just a few highlights:
I finally got my FIRST ROLLBACK on the Dragster! (I have ridden that ride dozens of times, and have never had one)
A buddy who went with us has never been on a coaster before this trip, so we had a good laugh he got off the ride looking as pale as a ghost!
I got to ride the Sling Shot... holy. cow. That ride was SO fun! I wish it wasn't so expensive, I definitely would've done that again!
It is so great to see the same cast from Skeleton Crew as last year. I liked the addition of the weight-sharing\tarp portion of the show (partially because I think that actress is a babe. lol).
I really liked the Midnight Syndicate show! I can see where, if you aren't a huge fan of Halloween, you may not be that into it... but I thought it was really well done. I absolutely loved the storyline, special effects, and the fact that they played some of their well-known songs! I work in the haunt industry, so I have been following Midnight Syndicate's work for about a decade... so it was great to finally see them live.
There were some really great employees that we met along the way...
Maverick Crew: I didn't get the attendant's name, but the red-headed guy who was on the mic was AWESOME! It really makes a big difference when the employees seem to be enjoying themselves too.
Same thing to be said about Tay from the Sky Hawk Crew... great job to both of them!
