Well, I just got back from opening weekend of Halloweekends! I had an absolute blast!
Friday night was BY FAR the better day to go (which was no surprise), with minimal wait for just about everything. The longest line I stood in was for Millenium, and that was only about 15 minutes.
I was able to ride everything I wanted to on Friday night, and I am very glad I did! The crowds on Saturday were horrific!
At one point, as I was walking through the park, I passed the entrance to Iron Dragon, and saw that the line was through the entire queue area and backing out into the main walkway.
I can't really complain though, because as said on here, it is much better to be at a crowded Cedar Point, than at work!
I had the opportunity to walk through the new haunts. "Blood on the Bayou" was great! I liked the work they put into the theming, and I really liked the course it took you on.
Screamworks was good also. I felt that Screamworks was just like the fright zone with a few more props (and that is okay with me, I love the fright zone!)
All in all, it was a good weekend! I can't wait for my next yearly trip!
I went to Cedar Point on the 18th and all the lines were great. I entered the park at the Magnum entrance and the longest wait was about 30 minutes for Maverick. I got to ride Magnum, Maverick, Millinium, raptor, Wicked Twister and I almost got to ride Dragster.
I went Friday. I thought the screamsters did very well after their long break. The lines were also great.
Anytime my wife and i went thru a walk thru haunt, it seemed like they still need some "time on the job". I just wrote it off as being the first weekend and should hopefully get better as the weeks roll on, the wind was playing havoc with the fog in certain areas, screamworks by MF tunnel for example. Terror Island was the best of opening Halloweekends IMO.

I really enjoyed "Fear Faire" this year.
It seems like they added a few more elements (including a screamster who followed a family member around pretty much the entire haunt making her life miserable... but making our's a whole lot more fun because of it!)

First weekend is always a kind of a getting back into thing. Along with placing new people and getting them use to the whole being someone you're not in front of thousands of people, along with trying to get use to a new zone if they switched from a different place the year before, it takes time. But as the event goes on you notice a huge difference in the energy and the intensity of the characters.
