It was a Thursday, I woke up at 6am to prep myself for the 2hr ride. Waking up at 6am meant I only had 3hrs of sleep. I was tired but that was not enough to stop me from going to The Greatest Place on Earth, and spending time with to of my friends. The forecast called for Rain, A Lot of it actually (expecting as much as 5 inches with a flood watch) which had me weary. Got to the park around 10am, overcast, looked like a rainy day was ahead.
1st Ride Wicked Twister
We were originally going to ride MaxAir first, but someone lost their breakfast so it was down while the cleaned that up. We saw Wicked Twister running, and decided that we would stop there first. I was surprised that it was a complete walk-on. Right when I entered the station the gates opened and there were seats available, how much better can that get. Although the ride was excellent and still a favorite of mine, I really missed the station music :(
2nd Ride MaxAir
Within the 5mins on WT, a large line was already forming as the ride had just ran a "Spin Cycle" to dry off. We ran quickly before the rest of the mob could get there. After a 5min wait we were of to take our own Spin on MaxAir. I must say I love this ride more and more every time I ride it. For some reason, it seemed to last longer than ever too. Thank you cedar point for putting some more intense thrill rides in, its a nice touch. As soon as we got off, I noticed that within our ride, the whole Queue line was full with it extending out into the midway, so we made it JUST in time.
3rd Ride Magnum XL200
My original intention was to catch a ride on TTD, but it was down (it was 11am) so we just kept walking and decided to take a ride on Magnum. Once again, a Complete Walk on... The train we were in was only 3/4 full. I chose the middle car, for some extra airtime, and Magnum did not disappoint. Another excellent ride CP.
4th Ride Millennium Force
Once again, my intention was to hit Skyhawk this time, but it was down due to Mechanical Reasons. But I did happen to pass by Tony and Tyler, who seemed to be EXTREMELY busy, so I just called them out and waved. From there we decided to make our way through the VERY peaceful Frontier Trail and hit up Millennium Force. I noticed that the Sun was starting to peak through the clouds, and blue skies were in the horizon... this only meant one thing, HUMIDITY!!! And boy did it ever come we a vengeance while waiting for Millennium Force. Line was pretty short for MF's standards, at about 40mins. Glad to hear the station music, always makes me feel magical when I'm about to plunge 300 feet. The Ride OP's were very swift in their checkings, and we were out in no time. I was Lucky to get the Ejector Seat, which made my ride even that much more thrilling. Air time was monstrous, and it was INCREADABLE. consider the #1 coaster concord for the 47th time by ME! After we got off, it was time for some Food.
5th Ride Blue Streak
After we at our lunch under the Roaring Raptor, we decided to hit up the classic Blue Streak. Short 5min wait as expected, but one thing I do ask... CP, please do something about the station. Its crowded, and its just hard to get from one row to the next. Other than the Station, the ride was running, rather smooth I thought. And I was the only one who gave out a yell to the Ride Op, when he asked "How Was That Ride". :D
6th Ride Power Tower: DROP
Still another one of my favorite rides. It was also a walk on, which was a first time for me in August. We got spectacular seats, looking south towards the parking lot, only to be disturbed by the 240 Foot drop that came.
7th Ride Top Thrill Dragster
The heat was now on, it was starting to get uncomfortable. We went to see what TTD line was like... the board read 1 hour, so we decided to take it on. It was so nice of CP to have those misting fans, cause boy did it feel good. the wind was coming from the West, and the trees were blocking it all so that was all we had to stay cool. It was so hot in fact that we had a person faint in the line. It was nice to see people not hesitating to give up their $2.50 waters so they could splash it in the persons face. She got up about 20 seconds after her fall, and once again I was surprised to see the Emergency Crew already there in such short notice. After that, I noticed the clouds rolling in, and the sun going away. It looked like Rain once again, and were are SOOOO close to the station. Right as I got to the turn style, it began to rain lightly (big droplets though). Ride OPs quickly halted the operation. After a short 5min-10min rain (sprinkle), operation started back up with a cheer from the crowd. Got into the station, I was about 4 Trains from the one I was to be in when the Ride Op called to the crowd for a single rider. I was a single rider, but was trying to stay with my group. Then he said, "If your a single rider, its your lucky day... I have a golden throne right here in the Front Row" Without even thinking, my arm went up. I skipped the 30 min wait to the front and BAM, there I was. There was no better way to ride TDD but in the front, it was Jaw Droping!!!!! That made my day!
8th Ride Skyhawk
It was 4pm, the pest of a shower now gave way to a sunny sky once again. But, it made it slightly cooler. We arrive at Skyhawk to see a loaded Queue Line, but still wanted to wait. It was a good 30min wait I would say. But there was a VERY refreshing breeze coming off the lake through the Project 07 clearing. Its very fun to watch the riders on Skyhawk scream over top of you, makes the wait feel shorter. After the wit we were to ride the giant swing of a ride, and the Spieler was AMAZING. She caught the crowed and had everyone laughing. I cant remember her name, but she had Dark somewhat Curly Hair, and wore White Sunglasses. Not to mention her calf Muscles were rather Large ;). The ride on Skyhawk was great, loved it for the most part... but its TOO SHORT!! All I ask is for 2 more swings at peak PLEASE, then it will be the greatest!!
After Skyhawk, our tired, sleep deprived group decided to call it a day. We didn't mid leaving so early, I have a Season Pass and the other Two had $10 tickets, so it was worth every penny!! It was a very enjoyable day at Americas Roller Coast'!
PS... Sorry if the grammer is lacking, ITS 5AM :)

Oh, I would love to be called up as a single rider to the front of Dragster. Thats only ever happened to me once and it was on Talon at Dorney Park. Nothing special, but I got to bypass about 5 trainloads of people...all giving me dirty glares! haha
2009--Dragster Photo
I called up as a single rider on Dragster (my party was in the train ahead of me), and ended up in the back car.
I dislike the back car of ANY coaster, but TTD's was not as bad as MF's.
Now don't flame me for a personal preferance, as far as the back car ride!

Any particular reason? I remember riding back seat on Magnum a few years ago, and then swearing I would never do it again. The trip up the hill with nothing behind me was very unnerving.
Goodbye MrScott

I just don't like the back car ride. It's just too wild for me back there.
I love the first car of any train. If I can't get that, I'll pick towards the front of the train every time.

thanks again and come visit me wherever i'll be next year!
Very good TR. I also got called as a single rider to the front car of TTD and yes it does save a ton of time! Its awesome up there. I agree that WT is not the same without the music.
I don't mind the back car on most coasters, but I found the back car on Magnum to be quite painful actually.
Thrills Around the Corner!
