A little late on doing this, but eh oh well...
-Made the 20-22 hr drive from Houston, TX
-Went through Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Lexington, Cinncinatti (nice city), and Columbus. Nice to see new places. Fun road trip.
-First full day at the park...awsome weather...no clouds at all...a little warm, but nothing compared to Houston heat.
-Got in at 9:30am...did dragster 1st (thats what we came for, so we wanted to do it while it was running). Waited about 1.5 hrs for it, not bad at all. The wait was fun, just to watch the thing go and the people's reactions before and after. That tower really looks twice as large when your finally right there at the staging lights. This is really the best 15-20 seconds I've ever experianced on a roller coaster, that launch is amazing, the view from up there is spectacular, and the trip down with the spiral is unreal. Front seat ride of coruse :). Oh and we (brother and I) let our two friends have the 1st ride, and they were a car away from a rollback!
-MagnumXL was next...fun ride..nice drops...but way too rough...rode in the rear
-Milinuim Force...sooooooo smooth..especially after Magnum...sooooo fast..its amazing how it just keeps its speed throughout the whole ride....even on the lift hill its fast....and that 1st drop..wow..you don't even see the track...we rode this right before it broke down...turns out it never opened up the rest of the day or the next day...made some really loud strange noise at the top of the 1st hill...
-Mantis...very fun...hurt my legs a bit in some of the loops..felt like there were alot of G's being pushed on them
-Mean Streak...this thing is huge...just don't like the roughness of it...
-Wicked Twister...neat that its right there on the beach....they really don't give much of a warning as to when ur about to be launched...which makes it that much better...sat in the front all the time except for my very last ride on the last day...in the rear...
-Corkscrew...damn..i can just stick my hand up and grab the track...the ride itself is very tame...but going right over all those people is very unique and fun
Power Tower...my favorite ride...the power shot...i've never done anything like this before...its like you can just jump 240 feet all of a sudden..and the weightlessness at the top is awsome..never gets old
-Gemini...my 2nd favorite ride...just because of the 2 cars at once...fun to grab other's hands and slap hands..plus we took pictures of eachother durring the ride
Raptor...probably the best OVERALL ride at Cedar Point (if MF was open and i could get another ride, but in the rear or front, i might think diff.), we did the front first....didn't enjoy the roughness of it...but switched to the rear..WOW..it is so much faster and smoother...that cobra roll at the end...it just keeps on going faster and faster
-The 2nd day it was cold (~65 or so in Aug?!?!? Thats crazy to us Texans!!!...we had to go out and buy a sweatshirt), a little windy, and raining. Were a little upset at first, but a ride on Raptor in the rain changed all of that. It was interesting doing those rides in the rain...like my brother said...every ride's a water ride now!
-Power Tower, Corkscrew, Mantis, Raptor, and Wicked Twister were all done in the rain.
-After 7 the rain cleared and dragster opened back up...got our 3rd right on it (2nd at nite)...love the nite rides on that thing.
Overall, this park really is the best ammusment park out there, not just because of its roller coasters, but the atmosphere (Johnny Rockets was fun...never knew about the place) was just a "hey come have fun" type of thing. Played plenty of games (acutally won some stuff...won that speedpitch thing on my 1st try...), spent plenty of money, and took plenty of pictures. We are going back agian next year...just maybe we'll fly next time.
