8/18/07, Short Trip Report

Ok, so what started out as an early day and a 2 and 1/2 hour drive turned out to be about a 3 1/2 hour drive. About 15 min. away, My mom gets pulled over, and didnt realize she was over the speed limit. 73 in 55. geesh. Okay on to Cedar point.

Weather-Chilli but nice

Crowds-Busy

So we didnt get to ride much because of the crowds, but still had fun.

Cedar Creek Mine Ride- Jerky on some parts, and guess what? We got stuck on the last lift hill for about 4-5 min. Still a good starter coaster. 5 min. wait

Iron Dragon-Fun, but a little rough in some parts. We sat in the second train and I slammed my head a couple of times into the restraints. 30 min. wait

Raptor-I love this ride, but did it get more rough since last year? Or is it just the back seat? I like the front better or this, but its still a blast. Hour wait.

Wicked Twister-It was just me and my cousin on this one, and she had never been on it. We sat in the back seat. Sooo much better than the front imo. She loved it. 30 min. wait

Mantis- Just me and cousin on this to, my first time. Okay, we get in line at 7. Their only runing 2 trains but there doin pretty good with them. About 45 min. in line, it starts sprinkling, so they chenge to one train op. So we waited since aot of people left the line. So we get up, and go to wait for the front, and 3 rides away they shut it down for mechanical problems. Everybody was booin and all that stuff. So about 15 min. Later they do some test runs and its up. We get on, and wow, I had a horrible headache. My head bashed into the restraints sooo hard. It was somewhat fun though. We wated about 2 and 1/2 hours for it :(

I wanted to ride dragster, but the line was 3+ hours when we got there, and everybody I was with was scared of it. Ha. But it was shut down most of the day. And so was Maverick. We all wanted to ride that but it to was down :(. Millenium had a 2+ hour wait consistintly all day and nobody felt like waiting that long.

Glad you still made the most of your day! Sounds like you had fun anyway.

Hopefully that Caitie chick that posted on here the other day reads your TR and sees that life doesn't stop if your favorite rides are down.

Where did your mom get pulled over at?

Im not quite sure wear it was, but it was about 15 min. before cp. He flagged down another person at the same time as us, but she only got a warning and was goin the same speed as us. But ya it was about 15 min. away

Mine Ride stops at the top of the second lift anytime the trains in the station stack.

Raptors back seat is amazing. It seems more rough there because the train is pulling the back over faster (or thats the explanation i remember getting)

And... Maverick was closed ALL day Friday. No clue why. It had just started testing at about 8:30 Seems that the problem was not yet fixed.

Glad you had a good day.

It seems like Saturdays always suck for crowds, I avoid them at all costs. We didn't wait more than 15 minutes for anything Monday or Tuesday (20-21) except for Maverick on Tuesday, which was about 40 minutes.
