I haven't been to CP in over a month. I figured I had the day off, mind as well hit the Point.
Got in the park around 9:15 a.m., went straight to TTD, the line extended almost to the photo booth. But once you got in the queues, it was a 15 minute wait. Got my favorite train, Black Cherry, and had a blast. Walked onto Magnum, saw my friends there and had a great ride. Went over to MF to get my Freeway (the hand stamp guy was about 7 minutes late), then headed over to WT which was down. Got in line for MaXair, that line extended to Chaos (Chaos was running).
I am not really happy with MaXair, even though I got seat #7, it now goes slower (around 60 m.p.h.) and doesn't reach as high as it used to. I was very disappointed. Not sure what is going on there. I loved going way up high and I loved the G forces, now there isn't as much force on the swing.
Went to Raptor next, the board stated 1 1/2 hour wait, it pretty much was. Got my favorite train there too, (#3) front row.
Headed back for my 2-3 handstamp for MF. The actual line was HORENDOUS! Thank goodness for freeway! BUT, when we saw the hostess at freeway merge point, she didn't stamp my hand showing I had redeemed my stamp. I thought that was strange. Got the red train and it was awesome! I got off the ride at 2:25 and thought, gee, I could get another freeway ride, but I didn't.
Hit the 3 p.m. Snoopys Summer Vacation Ice show and it was okay. I froze in the theater but the show was nice.
I had enough of the lines and decided to leave, after all, I had hit all the major rides I could. While leaving, I noticed that the parking lot was completely packed and cars overflowed into the back marina area.
It was a nice day, I got sunburned again. Great, now for another lecture from the parents.....

Nice report, sounds like a pretty crowded day, for a Thursday. That was really honest of you not to use your freeway again, I prob. would have :}. An hour and a half for Raptor is quite a wait, longest I have ever waited is 45 min., but I usually ride it late in the day. I was thinking about heading down myself on Monday, no work, no kids, what the heck. :}
First trip June 23rd
Great TR.
Nice to hear the park was busy, I always love a busy day. Sure you have to wait in lines for 1-2hrs, but if the DJ is playing it's a fun wait and doesn't seem that long.
I can't wait until my boyfriend and I go later this month, it will be his first trip to CP.

I was also at the park on Thursday (Trip Report coming soon), and to answer your question, I waited about 10 mintues for Power tower at around 11, after waiting about an hour for Dragster. The lines for Gemini did reach probably over 15 minutes one time I rode it, but it was of course a walk on again later that night. I also rode Magnum several times, and the line was never more than 30 minutes, Never extending past the DJ booth. I gotta give the crew props on that, they seem to do a great job moving that line, nearly always hitting interval.
I didn't go past Magnum that day, sorry. I came in the front entrance and yes, they checked for my Joe Cool.
As for the DJ's, the DJ at Raptor was like stuck for an hour on an 80's flashback. Mix it up! Finally, the last 30 minutes he did get some of todays top music but lo' and behold, John Mellancamp came on. Glad the Raptor line kept moving at a good pace though.
