Well I just got home from of the most physically challenging days I have ever had at Cedar Point. Today I knocked out 70 laps on Magnum. I got the first ride of the morning with Tyler, and the last ride of the night with Anne. Magnum was running perfect today, every ride I had was smooth and fast and I do mean fast.
The reason is was so fast was becasue up until about 2:00 they couldn't get the trims to work.
All in all it was a great, day I only stopped three times and that was to use the bathroom and to get some drinks.
I will write two full TR's later this week.
***For those of you out there who want your friends and family to join in on the gemini 100 I want to you to stop and think really hard if they can do it. Granted Gemini and Magnum are on different levels its goint to be a challenge.****

Lets see. 70 rides in 8 hours. That's almost 9 an hour! Awesome! I am going tomorrow and I hoping it will be just as empty :)
I plan to Power Ride either Gemini or Magnum Tomorrow to see if I have it in me. Riding a coaster 100 or even 70 times in a day I'm sure is easier said than done.
WOW!!! Congrats to MagnumDan!!!

It's Dan K's fault
CONGRATS DAN!! I sent an email to Randy to break the news! :)
I scheduled 3 days late in season that will be dead,so I will try to top it.

The ironic thing was earlier in the day one of the security guards was encouraging me to run!

So are they not letting people in until 10?
Any idea what the wait for MF was like? (I'm going tomorrow and numbers like that get me exicted :))

I was probably on the train yesterday with you Dan and didn't even realize it...
MF's longest line, to answer a question, yesterday was down to the bottom of the ramp.. Got in 12 rides yesterday, hit all the other coasters a few times.. and still left the park at 3pm.
-------------
MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - Double digits already.. and that's only the second day. :)
Dan the Man....I need to talk to you BTW

Yeah Dan, my dad (the old guy with me Sun) said we're all nuts for wanting to ride Gemini 100 times. He's convinced we'll all be very sore at the end of the day. I'm trying to find someone to come up with me so I don't have to make the 4 hr drive by myself, but no big deal if I don't.

Futuristic bow-wow... do the dog catcher!
Dude, Magnum was intense on Monday. I don't know how you did it. I get to the park and Dan is there, okay so we kill ride number one, I go to the Force and mess around on all the coasters, go back to Magnum and he's at friggin' 50! Just a short time later as I was leaving at 5 he was at 60, I think that's awesome, congrats!

Thanks Tyler, overal the ride wasn't that intense, but for the last 14 or so laps the trims were back off and the first part of the turnaround was very intense and thats what really killed me.

I don't know how you did it... Those rides early in the day were out of control w/o the trims! So they went back off again later? (ducked out around 5... was tired beyond belief)
Gonna be interesting to see how a looping ride takes it's toll on the body, going to attempt to ride Mantis all day either this week or next.

Dan, YOU ARE MY NEW HERO!!

Live for FUN!
GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
Some notes after going today-
Magnum was extra fast and I think still having trim problems, very intense.
MF was almost a walk on most the time I rode. Longest the line stretched back when I was on was just past unload platform!
Dan is right about surviving the Gemini 100, it will be no easy task. Granted Gemini is not exactly an intense ride, but my knees were feeling it after only 11 straight rides on Magnum. My whole body felt kind of "floating" if you will after an assault on Maggie and Millie for only a total of 24 times. I need to condition myself better!
Also the crew was still amazed when I talked to them about your expedition, including how you looked totally dead after 70. One said you looked like you could have slept for days.
CONGRATS!
The last hour after I hit 60 I was a total wreck, I was talking to myself and saying the dumbest things outloud. I was staggering around and I couldn't stand up straight.
