6/24, short, but Hot day

Arrived at the park around noon, expecting large crowds but found it somewhat empty, reminded me of opening day crowds. Parked in the back in the Soak City lot, noticed Magnum was not running yet, then went over and got a walk on ride on Gemini using both sides.

Then walked back to Mean Streak and noticed it was stuck on the midcourse brakerun again. Does anybody know why it keeps getting stuck there so much? For the five days I have been there every time it keeps getting stuck there. Eventually it was running again and got in line right after they fixed it, and then the green train got stuck right after the dispatch from the station in the transfer track area. It sat there for a few minutes then the ride op hit some button that made a fire alarm noise, and I noticed the chain lift stopped, then started back up, and then the train moved and went through the track. The next train they dispatched from the station it got stuck there again! So they did the same alarm sound over again, then it went through, then they didn't send anything again, so I left.

After all that trouble with Mean Streak I went over and had about a 10 minute wait for White Water Landing, then went back over to Mean streak to see it running and finally got on.

Took the train to the front of the park, noticed Wildcat was down, took a quick spin on Iron Dragon with no wait, then took the Skyride across to the front of the park, I noticed they were using I think every Skyride car but 1 or 2, not sure.

Got some fries then went over to Dragster. Waited about 25-30 minutes for Dragster and sat in the very back of the red train. Great ride, good airtime.

Then on the way out decided to catch a ride on Magnum because it was working. Platform was almost completly full, snuck up to the front by car two. I was about two trains from getting on when someone puked everywhere, I guess it happened out on the course somewhere, it was everywhere on the train.... Anyway we had about a 20 minute delay because they cleaned it up, I guess they are not trained on how to clean up puke cause it took them forever. Eventually they got the red train cleaned up and sent it out empty. We then got on and had a great ride, while leaving the park noticed they sent the red train empty a few times, probably to dry off.

Overall a good day at the park while I didn't stay long and it was hot and the crowds seemed low which I wasn't expecting. Left the park at 4. *** Edited 6/25/2005 3:08:27 AM UTC by randinator***

Sounds like a great day, despite the heat. I don't know why MS gets stuck at the midcourse, I have never noticed that. My brother was trying to fix his seatbelt and undid it once the train left causing us to stop at the transfer area, and then they restarted it as stated above, but I have never been stuck anywhere else.

Thrills Around the Corner!

You missed out on some short lines at Millennium Force too. At one point in the late afternoon (6:00 or so), the wait was down to 1/2 hour. That is very short for a weekday during the last week of June. You picked a great day to come, even if it was a little warm.

Hey RidePhoto, when you were in line for Millennium did you notice the empty trains on Mantis?
