the drive down Rte 2 was glorious around 4:30pm with the Sirius XM Radio Margaritaville blasting all the way.
Parked VERY close to Disaster Transport this time, and got to the Goodtime Theater just in time to see the last show of "Snoopy's Big Wow Wow". This is a guilty pleasure. Either that or the air conditioning. Enjoyable nontheless.
Then headed to the evening's last show of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered". Wow...it seems as if it has made a lot of improvements just in the past two weeks. I enjoyed it a "lot" more than previously posted, but still has some minor, picky flaws.
Did a LOT of people watching today and just took in all the sunshine. I was a little perturbed because a lot of the food stands were closed "or" were closing very early. I went to the Fudge & Taffy Shop by Disaster Transport at around 8pm..the windows were open, the lights were on, etc and the guy said "We're closed" and walked away. Ummm ok. I then walked to the "next" window and asked for cotton candy. The guy looked around and said they didn't have any left. As I walked away, he said "Oh wait...here I found one.". Lovely.
So I sat on the Midway by the Coliseum and ate my cotton candy. Then headed to the Beach for a nice walk along the water for a change.
Afterwards, headed to Club X in downtown Sandusky. I hadn't been inside in 2 years, and the renovations look great. This "dive" bar actually looked classy and "stepped up". It was empty for the first hour or so, but by 12:30am, it was shoulder to shoulder people. Definitely a fun place to relax, especially on Mondays and Thursdays- Cedar Point "Employee Nights".
Then struggled to stay awake after getting up early for Fathers Day and celebrating with the family, working at my job for a few hours, then the rest of the day. Next time I will be well rested before I hit the road at 2am!

I have noticed this all season, and its quite annoying. I don't want to get fudge or such during the day and either carry it around, or go out to the car and let it melt. I would rather get it on my way out of the park. While I would understand if they were closed at say 11 when we just get off of the last ride for the night, they should still stay open until the advertised closing of 10pm.
