6/14 Bugs and got "soaked" for locker rental in Soak City

We went on Sunday, had a great day, got there about 10:15 and got on nearly every ride with less than a 15 minute wait...most rides we rode the next car after we got onto the platform.

The bugs were insane...if you are going to CP this year...wear black to mask all of the dead bugs on you. Might want to also consider eye protection on some of the rides. In soak city, the bugs were swarming so bad, it made the experience unbearable.

The locker rentals were an issue in Soak City. The sign states that a fee of $10 to use the lockers inside soak city, with a $8 deposit (having the same cost as inside the park with $1 coins). The guy behind the counter charged us $13 and only refunded $5, costing 4x ($8) as much as inside the park, after we paid the money to get into the park. When I asked for a receipt, the printer on the cash register wasn't working (very convenient)...not sure if the guy scammed me or not, but am still waiting on a response from CP...

That will be my last trip to Soak City.

From what I have read on this forum, the bugs are really bad after it rains hard for a couple days, so if I go again, I will be watching the forum and go after an extended dry spell.

That sign is stating that the locker rental is 10 dollars for the day, (open as many times as needed) and you have to have an 8 dollar deposit. So the total up front cost is $18.00. Upon return of the key you get the 8 dollars back. This is most likely because many people run off with the key, and that is the cost to the park to purchase new keys.

How you made it out paying only 13 is anyone's guess.

I paid 13 up front and got 5 back too. I never paid any attention to any signs.

Hahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha!

I'm sure that's exactly what it costs! Nobody's making a profit on lost keys!!!!!

The place where I work, has lockers that are used everyday. When a key is lost we charge 6.75, we make no profit. The key is 5 dollars the rest covers shipping. I am sure that different places charge different prices for replacement keys, but I do however know that they are pricey.

That's why I hate Soak City.

-remember, line jumping is NOT a sport!!-

You don't have to hate soak city because of locker prices. (No I don't agree with the prices) Go to the front of Cedar Point by Demon Drop, the same sign is there stating the same price for an all day locker. (Open as many times as you want). And if you don't like the locker prices, just park the car next to the entrance, I have a 30 second walk to my car all the time, then just run back and forth. What could you possibly need in the Water park that you cant run out to your car for.
