6-25-10 Great Visit!!!
Met a coaster buddy of mine Adam at 5:30am on 23 and off to CP we went. Why is it a long drive just flies by when you've got great conversations going on? Before I knew it, we were in Dusky. Unfortunately it was only 7:30! Used that to our advantage by having a nice leisurely breakfast at Cracker Barrel.
Got to the park in plenty of time for early ride time. We ended up hitting Raptor 18x before the gp invaded the park. I just love the Raptor crew this season they are sooo fun! :)
We met Ben H at Maggie and had 2 of the most fun rides ever. We just did crazy stuff for the pictures, which even had the other people looking at the pictures cracking up!
We then rode Mean Squeak (my stupid idea :() I sat in 2-1 and literally it felt like the bottom fell out of the car when we go to the top of the 1st hill...it was really painful, the rest of the ride no better. There was tons of retracking done, the shame of that is Racers at KI had tons of track work done and it made the ride amazing!! I can't say the same for MS, I will take BS over it any day. We hit up Gemini before Ben had to leave.
From there Adam and I rode Mine Ride, Skyhawk, Power Tower (up) Iron Dragon, WT, DT (Alaskas lights are on!!) Skyride, BS, Demon Drop (jk-seeing if anyone was paying attention) Corkscrew, Dragging Iron and even the train. We took a break and went to TGIFs for linner, it was nothing exciting. My bill was $10.64, gave the waitress a 20-she asks "do you want change?" Are you kidding me???
Went back in the park and watched STR cycling for a while. Definitely does look like tons of fun and you will get drenched! Back to the midway, we hit up a couple more rides, then Raptor 2 more times and headed home. Literally the longest wait of our day was waiting on the food at TGIFs! We passed on Maverick and MF since they had a longer line. Mantis was also sporting a long line for some unknown reason we passed on that too.
Looking at the parking lot and the amount of people on the midway you would have thought the park was packed. Idk where the people were cause they certainly weren't on any of the lines with us!
We had walked through all the stores to see if anything new or exciting. CP has these MF and TTD leather bracelets--excuse me but where is Raptor? Actually, better they dont have them anyway I shouldnt be spending any $$ anyway.
I wore my Dorney Park Demon Drop shirt and got non stop compliments all day. I took a picture over by DDs land, it is hard to believe how little land it took. I miss seeing it from Raptor's lift, from the parking lot, and I really miss hearing it when it would hit the brake run.
Im glad it went to Dorney instead of just being destroyed **cough** Mr. Hydes Nasty Fall **cough**
The ride home was lightning fast too cause of the conversations again. All in all a VERY fun day at CP! The park looks great! :)
I was sad to see the female employees still being forced to wear the nasty blue and red gym suit from the 70's. Ewwww! :(

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
