Well, considering the fact that it rained almost all morning and afternoon, it was a pretty good trip. I'm making this short because I'm exhausted.
11 of us piled in 2 cars and headed to the point. We left at 6:55AM and got there at 9:30. We had to wait till 10 for the park to open so we just sat at the gate.
First ride was Dragster. We waited about 10 minutes to ride. I have nothing to complain about because as always, it was an amazing ride.
After, we headed toward Maverick. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes till we got to the station. Then it started to sprinkle and as soon as we got to the station, they closed the ride down. We sat there till about 1145, then we decided just to go back to the cars and eat lunch.
After we got back into the park, we decided to head toward Wicked Twister. When we got there, we waited about 15 minutes, then we got to the station and it got closed down for mechanical reasons. Never fails right?
So then the group split up and my boyfriend and I just kinda walked around because he's never been there before. So we went in some shops and stuff and got some food. After that, we headed toward Iron Dragon. We waited about a half hour for it because they were only running one train and it was raining.
Then we decided to go on Thunder Canyon for the heck of it because it was raining and bit and a lot of rides were long waits and only running one train. Of course I took a poncho because I didn't want to get wet, but my boyfriend decided to get drenched.
After that, we met up with some of the group and we went on the swings to dry off a bit.
Later on, we decided to meet everyone by Sky Ride near the front of the park by Raptor. Then we rode Blue Streak which also had a good half hour wait because they were only running one train. But by then it stopped raining and more coasters were putting on more trains. YAY!
After Blur Streak, we decided to ride Calypso. HAHA! Fail.
Then we headed back to the car for a few to eat some more. Then we headed toward Magnum. Magnum was a good 15 minute wait, but the line went by quick as always. It was also a good ride.
After that, the whole group went on Gemini and half went on the blue train and the other half went on the red train. Gemini was a walk on and blue train (the one i was on) won! :)
Later on, we headed back toward Maverick to see that it had a hour and a half wait. We didn't wait for it because it was going to take forever. So we headed toward Millennium which had a half hour wait. That line moved by so fast, I dont even think it was a half hour. As always, my favorite ride was the best one. :)
Then we headed toward the back of the park again to check out Maverick, it had a 2 hour wait! So we said forget it and we rode Cedar Creek Mine Ride for the last coaster of the night. Walk on, stupid coaster and failed. What else is new? haha!
Then we headed back toward the car and rode Monster aka OCTOPUS! haha. and the rest of the group rode Witches Wheel, which I said no because it always makes me sick. By that time it was about 930PM
Then we headed home. Stopped at Mickey D's for some late night dinner and got home around 1 in the morning. Fun Trip!
So stoked for 2010 :]

When I went the last week of May, as soon as the slightest sprinkle started to fall, most of the coasters either shut down, or went to one train operation.
Good thing there are other parks out there that still run their rides in the rain.
One train operations=long waits, impatient people and failure :) Gotta love 'em. haha!
Oh and Magnum around 2PM had a 2 1/2 hour wait because they were running one train and the line was near the enterance...fail.
So stoked for 2010 :]

I was there yesterday too, we road Maverick and a whole lot of flats from 1-4, did the WT area and then went to Famous Daves. By the time we got back the rain had ended, and the busses had left from 7 to 10 (well 10:40 by the time we road TTD) we did:
-Raptor
-Blue Streak
-Calypso
-Cedar Downs
-Millennium Force
-Mantis
-Magnum
-TTD
That riding blitz more then made up for the time earlier doing the flats. What a great way to end the night (minus Mantis which we did in the front and got splattered with way too many muffleheads)
