5/25 no lines

The crew: Chris, Chris, DA, Akron Idol's own Ron Taylor, and I

We got there around 9:30 and Chris and I got the passes prosessed. Headed to MF to find no wait and 3 trains (the red had dummies cause there wasn't enough people to fill 3 trains). We rode it 3 times (once in the rain) and headed to Mean Streak when the line finally started.

Our first ride on Magnum didn't have trims on. OUCH.

Rode some coasters then hit up TTD after it opened. Sign said an hour but we were in and out in less than 25min from the backseat. Sweet.

Stumbled around all day and rode everything because there was absolutely no lines. We said goodbye to some of our friends at the front gate at 6pm and headed back to check on MF for one last ride.

We were dumbfounded. Walk on. 7 of them in less than an hour. The ops to every coaster said this was the most empty that they had seen the park. Excellent. We left at 7pm and arrived home at 8:15 (fastest ever). What a day. We were up near the station on TTD also and it broke down so we left.

Yes today was a great day, got a rollback, 5 full laps, 5 force laps and several other rides throughout the day.

The only interesting thing was that earier in the day we were on TTD and the train infront of us was ready to launch. When the Christmas tree hit green the train moved about 4ft and stopped. The ride went down for about a half hour and we were stuck in prestage for about 25mins.

Besides that it was a great day at the park.

Dan

And it was the only time Magnum had a longer line than Millennium Force ;)
Damn, I wish i was there on 5/25 to enjoy the short lines. I was there on 5/24 and it was just OK. There were not too many people there but the wind was so bad, Raptor, Wicked Twister, and TTD were down all day till about 5:30pm. So this caused a bigger line for the other rides. Finally the wind let up, i was able to get 1 ride on TTD and waited 2 and a half hours. The first hour of waiting they were only loading each train with 8 people instead of the full 18. When i rode there were 14 people total on my train. Lots of rollbacks that day. I've had about 35-40 laps on TTD and not one rollback. I would pay 100 dollars to get one!!! Gotta be a rush!!

I want to ride a rollercaster NAKED!!

If you want it that bad it will never come. when you least exspect it , it will come.

Yeah I wanted to call Tony and harass him on how short the line for MF was. Then again if he was there he would probably be riding Dragster. ;)

I think the most impressive number on mortdug's Trip Report was the Cheese on a stick: 3. After 1 I am full for a very long time. Sounds like a great day to be at the park with all those short waits.

I can't believe Dan got another rollback, thats an impressive number of rollbacks.

Ha, only 3 cheese-on-a-sticks? ;) Just wait till the cheese-on-a-stick 5. After Dan and I attempt that, every train we are on will rollback.
Dan i was in the station when that happened too. It was very odd.

Yes there were no lines and it was the greatest day ever. We hit TTD 3 times at the end of the day, it was AWESOME. MF another 4. Rode raptor 3 times in a row without even getting off. Walk-on city.

This truly was a great day...granted I work on MF I dont come around to ride it much with a long line...but that night I got 12 rides in 90 minutes...if any of you were there...you probably saw me...I, too, was suprised not to see Tony there...haha...he did get 2 rides in this morning (Sunday)

Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004

Yeah, I forgot to mention there was a guy that was probably about 30 years old or so that said it was his 24th ride on MF of the day... and that was at 6:30!!! I will be up this Tuesday as well. I know I won't see another day like that until next year (or maybe ever) so, I plan on checking out other rides and attractions for this week. Can any person go to the beach through the gate over at the Oceana Midway, or do they have to be staying at the hotel??? I wouldn't mind taking a swim in the lake if it gets really hot... *** Edited 5/30/2004 8:44:01 PM UTC by mortdug***
