5/17 Thursday

Arrived around 3pm for our first CP visit since July 2010. No wait to process passes. Walked on Sky Ride then headed to Windseeker for two one-cycle waits. Really like this ride. Not as intense as I had imagined though. Waited a cycle for maxAir, but only because someone did not put thier shoes in the cubby and they slid down into the pit during the ride. They had to lock-down each empty seat to lower the floor and get the shoes before they could load again:) Walked on Raptor for a back seat ride after that. Sky Ride again then walked on Dragon. MF was an hour wait, so we skipped it for a walk down the trail and a one-cycle wait for Skyhawk. Never get tired of that swing! Ate some great Chic-Fil-A. Saw that the Wave Swinger is either being dismantled or put back together, not sure which. Can't see why they would take it out OR take out Wildcat for that matter. It does look like this Luminocity instillation will be a big deal but seems they could have kept WC too. Hour wait for Maverick, so took the train, then short wait for Sky Ride back up front, because we wanted to move the car to the Soak City lot as we hoped TTD would be our last ride of the day. Came back in the Magnum gate around 6pm and had a cycle wait for front seat and a re-ride in back of Maggie. Front seat lap was awesome. Still my favorite ride in the park. Walked right by Power Tower's new entrance and all the the way around to the old entry point before we realized it was moved. Waited a cycle for the drop side. Had another ride on Dragon, walked on Mantis front, and waited 15 for MF. About 7:40 we wanted to grab another spin on Windseeker, but it was down. So headed to TTD for two one-cycle waits to end a perfect afternoon. Can only imagine how many rides we could have gotten in if we had been there at opening. Perfect crowds, perfect weather, seemed to be busiest between 4-6, but could tell many of the bus groups were heading out by 6. Everything was running well it seems other than TTD for a short time mid-afternoon and Windseeker right at the end of the day. TC and SRF weren't open, but didn't expect they would be. The park looks great, but no landscaping yet on the main midway. Only saw a handful of people using Fast Lane today. Certainly couldn't have had much impact on wait times and really wasn't needed unless you wanted to ride MF, Mav, or TTD midafternoon.
