5.12.05: Fog, Rollbacks & More

Got to the park around 8 thinking JC started at 900 when it actually started at 930. When the gates opened I started running towards Dragster and I would have been first in line but I stopped once they started playing the National Anthem. I wound up 2nd in line with Steve and Christina. After a delay in opening they finally opened the ride and the two kids infront of me followed the ride op up the right ramp and steve, christinia and I ran up the left ramp and got the first train of the morning. We got the purple train and Steve and I rolled back in the front seat. :)

The fog came and went but it finally stayed for a while and the two fog rides on Dragster were amazing. All you saw was the bottom 50ft of the tower if that, and you saw a train go up the tower and a few seconds later they were in the pullout.

Overall it was a good day at the park, we rode the space spiral which was pointless because once we got to the top we couldn't see ANYTHING. Rode MF, Gemini, Raptor, Chaos, Magnum twice, all in all it was a good day. I have never seen a wait for as short for Dragster as I have seen today.

OHHH I almost forgot the quote of the day.

On out 4th dragster ride our train pulls out into the launch area and there is a maintenance guy standing between the transfer track and the launch track. I lean over and look at him and say "its been running good today." He looks at me and says "why yes it is," and then I reply with "then don't touch it!" The look on his face was priceless.

Needless to say about a half hour later the ride went down. :)

Could I borrow your time machine for a few days?

I was at the park today also and had a great time. 3 rides on dragster longest wait was 45 minutes and that was for the front seat. I have done it at night and during the day, but Dragster in the fog like it was today was amazing.
And Dan forgot to mention we both forgot cameras, we could have gotten some sweet fog pictures throughout the whole day. Rollback was nice as always.

The fog was amazing and did make Dragster that much sweeter! What an excellent day at the park. Our longest wait was 20 minutes for Dragster and we got four rollbacks.
I hope there is fog tomorrow. A fog filled Dragster ride sounds quite interesting.
I was about 6 people behind you in line Dan. I went to the same side that you did but decided that I would wait for the front seat for my first TTD lap (which I don't regret). Glad you got a rollback- after that one they really got it moving and there wasn't another one for awhile.

Getting those 2 rides in before the GP is allowed in sure is a great perk.
