5 years old and loves it!!

My daughter just turned 5 in January. She is also luck enough to have hit 48 1/4 inches this year. She is so unlike me. We live in Grand Rapids MI and have season passes to Michigan's Adventure. This year she told me that she wanted to ride everything there. So I took her on the Corkscrew, Wildcat and Shivering Timbers. She LOVED IT!! So, a week later I decided we would use our passes to go to Cedar Point. This girl is so much fun!! She dragged me on the Gemini, then the Magnum and in the same day we rode Millenium Force! I could not believe it. I had to buy all of the on ride photos because she had her hands up on every ride. So opposite her dad. I didn't ride my first coaster until I was 8 and that was Blue Streak. I have a new ride partner and we are both addicted. She kept asking me to ride the Power Tower and Wicked Twister but she has a ways to grow. I will be back Friday for Coastermania and look forward (yes laugh) to riding Power Tower and Wicked Twister for the first time.

Wow! My brother (who was eight at the time) cried all the way through his fist coaster, the Great American Scream Machine at SFOG. My sister did too.

I couldn't imagine anyone 5 years old going on MF. That's pretty cool.

My really bad website ~ www.expage.com/coasterpoint

Watching kids take their first "big" coaster rides is such a great thing...comparable to Christmas.

My son was 6 when we first took him to CP (we waited until he was tall enough to ride Magnum). We started him out slowly with Iron Dragon as his first. He got off and said I want to go on a bigger one! We worked our way up with Blue Streak, Corkscrew then Gemini. It was then he pointed to Magnum and said "I want to ride THAT!"

Needless to say, the following year we purchased season passes.

Wow the big rides at 5?thats amazing I was 12 when I rode my first Major coaster which was the Big Dipper at Geauga Lake(the park now known as Six Flags:Worlds Of Adventure). And even then it took me 6 years to work up the courage to ride the bigger coasters i.e. Magnum,MF,etc.

Raptor, when I rode that coaster (Big Dipper at SFWoA) it scared me so bad that I had to work up the courage to ride any other coaster. The whole time my sister, mom, and I felt like we were falling out our seats. I know that it is supposed to be like this...but I was unaware of that and was so afraid that I didn't ride anything the rest of the day. And atleast you rode at 12. My first coaster was last uear, when I was 14...needless to say I got addicted pretty quick!
