3 day ride and slide package?

I'm planning a trip in early June and want to reserve a room at Hotel Breakers. I'm curious though, if I get the three day ride and slide package, does that mean I HAVE to go to Soak City? I'm not a big fan of water parks, so I'm just curious if the package would allow me to just to go to Cedar Point for three days?

Also when would I get the tickets, when I check in at the hotel? I usually only go on day trips so I'm not sure on how this works.

I'm curious how they would force you to go to Soak City? Cattle prod maybe? :)

You don't have to go to Soak City with the ride and slide tickets, you can just do CP. Not sure if the tickets are more expensive or not, but if it saves you money, then go for it. I believe you get your tickets at the front desk upon check in.

Because electricity and water mix SO well. ;)

And I would check and see if that package is actually cheaper than 3 nights in the hotel with no package and buying tickets at the hotel discount price.

On the other hand, you might be able to make some money back by selling the "Slide" portion of the tickets.

In some instances a season pass is more economical.

To answer your first question, NO. You do not have to go to Soak City. Those Ride and Slide packages are more for families and just give them the freedom to do most anything in the park. I always choose a Ride and Slide package on site and save quite a bit on the trip. I never go to Soak City.

Without any discounts or promotional packages here is the breakdown.

3 days at CP:

$82.99 - 2 day R/S Ticket
$54.99 - 1 day CP Ticket (No R/S)
$45.00 - Parking Pass for 3 Days
______
$183.97 - Tickets & Parking for 3 days.

Hotel Breakers Mid Week saver package which includes a two night stay as well as a 3 day ride and slide can be had for as low as 232 bucks. So pay the extra 50 bucks and stay on site with 1 hour early entry.

The point im trying to make here is if you stay on site and you get a good mid week saver package the value can be considerable than if you stayed off site. There are no motels that I know of around Cedar Point that will let you stay 2 nights for 50 bucks and give you the perks.

Having a PP will save you the cost of Ticket and Parking but at that point Cedar Point usually doesnt offer much any deal on their hotel stay. For example the same package for 232 bucks at the breakers would be 75 bucks cheaper if you just wanted the room.

Your best bet is to check lodging and pick a good slow week so you can get a mid week saver package. Cost to stay goes up as the season progresses.

If you go to the Cedar Point for three or more days, I recommend getting a Platinum Pass, rather than individual tickets. It's $180, however there are perks that come along with a Platinum Pass. The perks include: free parking, discount at select stores, game locations, & food locations. Also with a platinum pass, you can go to any other Cedar Fair Parks, with includes Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Michigan Adventure.
Also, I'm not saying this because I work at Cedar Point. It's worth having a platinum pass over trying to do a combination, like above.

09 - Breakers Boutique
10 - Emporium
11 - Costume Character for the Peanuts Gang
12 - Day off relief for the town / trail
13 - Not going to put that on the internet...

I'm still laughing about how to compel people to go to soak city. Maybe a trap door from one of the hallways in Breakers?
