20th anniversary of Magnum's announcement coming up.

I can remember watching Maggie's debut on NBC Nightly News.

After it was over, I remember telling my family, "I wouldn't ride that for a million dollars!" :-)

^ lol I think that we all said that at some point about one of our now favorite coasters. I know I have. :)

I would also like to see some more Magnum shirts. I know they have t-shirts, but that's about it. If they made a hoodie or tank top, I would definately buy one of each.

I vote no for a new sign for Maggie. Less people knowing where the line starts means more rides for us. ;)

Does anyone have any contruction pics of Magnum? I remeber seeing a couple in the gallery at one time but would love to see more.

I already had August 25th on my calendar as a day off.

The Magnum ride night was scheduled for Sunday 24Aug08 not the 25th, which is now the 2nd ride night for Maverick this year. You would have been a day late for it if you came on the 25th.

Or I would have been coming down on the 24th and staying til the 25th since 5 hour drives late at night kind of blow.

If you want a fun dive to CP I suggest getting a motorcycle. I have never had more fun then the long rides I have taken. It's something I just can't put into words. Of course you need a riding buddy or two but if you can, I highly suggest doing it.

If you are staying for multiple days that could be a problem if you don't have big enough sadle bags. I did one time US Priority Mail my clothes and things to a hotel I was staying at in NV. I called and arranged it ahead of time and they were glad to do it.

If you want a fun ride to CP, just drive with me and my sis. We usually have about a 2 hour drive that feels like a 5 minute one. We are so pumped up to get to CP that the time flies so quickly.

Don't have to ask me twice.

Wow CF is going to have a busy year opening 2 new roller coasters, Great America and Kings Island, and trying to celebrate two legendary roller coasters birthdays, Beast and Magnum.

Wouldn't it be something if Cedar Fair announced a new ride for 2009 for Cedar Point? I know it's probably wishful thinking, but you never know. :)

I would be surprised if Cedar Point didn't open a new ride for 2009. It might just not be the super-mega-uber coaster that so many are slobbering for.

How much would it cost them to convert Power Tower into 4 Space Shot/Turbo Drop towers? Is it possible to do that? If it was I think that would be a great thing to do, since that way you could "double the ride" and from an operating perspective, you could shut down 1, 2 or even 3 towers when the crowds are light.
