Agreed. I've never been able to scan our platinum passes more than once a day with the exception of when at Kings Island.
7 of us with regular platinum passes could scan then multiple times last year.
Multiple visits with stays of up to 7days in a row on point last year. Always used resort or beach entrances multiple times a day and marina entrance about once or twice a day. Never use front gate.
And, yes, last year was the first year for the reuse of passes that we ever did. Haven't been there this year yet, will be next week Sunday - Thursday.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
I have been let in before after spending time in Soak City and my hand-stamp washed / sunscreend off. The screen popped up as do not admit / pass already scanned. The attendant told the system to display photo anyway, and let me (and my brother who also had his stamp washed off) back in.
The policy changed last year, so that you could re-scan your pass multiple times throughout the day. I had no issue doing this last weekend as well. There really is no reason to not let people use their pass multiple times throughout the day.
Agreed, as long as there is a photo. When I worked main entrance at Disney years ago, folks passing back passes for reuse by someone else was a more of a problem than you may think. Granted, we used the biometrics but when the lines would back up those would get turned off. We caught some when we would ask for photo ID, but I'm sure more than a few were successful.
First time buying Fast Lane Plus today. A nice surprise is a $20 discount for Platinum Pass holders! $73 gets me a 15 minute vs 90 minute wait. They also let me buy 2 using my discount, since my daughter has a regular pass.
I still dislike Fast Lane. But I am surprised that it costs more than a ticket to the park. For what, a dozen rides?
I just never expected the value of cutting in line to exceed the value of entering the park.
But I am also surprised at the success of Freemium mobile games. It blows my mind.
Cutting in line is free, but to wait in the shorter line requires Fast Lane.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Where did you buy these at to get a discount? Just curious if it is anywhere or just at the main ticket booths at the entrances that are aware that platinum pass holders get the discount.
When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
I couldn't find the discount for the Fast Pass online. I also couldn't find it listed in the benefits section for the platinum pass. Would love to here where you went for the discount.
I bought them at the Windseeker gate. I wasn't expecting a discount, she asked if I had a Platinum Pass for a discount.
I couldn't find anything online either and since I was interested in the details as I would but them with the discount I contacted the park. They said there is no discount on Fast Lane or Fast Lane + and that pricing should be the same at any location on the same day, including at any gift shop, ticket window, or online (other than the "processing fee").
Either the customer service rep, or the folks at the ticket window were wrong. Just putting this out there so people do not expect to get a Platinum pass discount on Fast Lane passes.
I bought my fast pass earlier this year and was able to get the plus upgrade at the regular fast pass price with my card.
Not sure if it matters but I bought mine several hours after the park had opened.
I bought mine in frontier town.
I did that last year a few times at CP, KI didn't give anything when we went there last year so perhaps it was just a CP deal. Last year CP even had the option for the Platinum Pass upgrade online which was purchasing a FL+ for the regular FL price. I was a bit bummed when they removed it for this year as I would have used it a few times again. I guess I'll just try it if I decide to get them and see what they say at the counters.
I just noticed a change in the platinum benefits that may make a difference to some. Earlier in the season we were allowed 4 bring a friend tickets. About a month ago I took advantage of it and they gave me 4 discounted admissions. Today I checked ahead just for the heck of it because we are bringing a friend again tomorrow and now the website says one bring a friend ticket per day. Quite a change in the middle of the season.
That was probably during one of the bring a friend specials they had. The next opportunity for multiple tickets on one day is Labor Day weekend. I believe its been one ticket per pass holder for most of the time they have had that deal.
