Doesn't Cedar Fair (or just Cedar Point) own the Whyte Lightning name too? Because that was originally thought to be Shoot the Rapids. And there's lightning in the picture on the website. Interesting.

I wonder why they never do announcements on weekends when most people are off of work.

I'd imagine it's because they want maximum exposure in the news cycle. Generally people may not pay attention to the news on the weekend.

I don't think a sunny blue sky in the background would fit a Valravn theme. And based on it's meaning, I would say a dark, stormy background fits perfectly.

How do you associate a font with a mythological creature? That's like associating a head of lettuce to a hippo...

It looks like something supernatural (A Valravn) in a dark age font which Is what I think when I think of a Danish Folklore Valravn.

The font is called "God of War."

War -> Army -> Centurion?
