In the video a question was brought up about lazers. Whoever that girl doing the presentation was, said there would be lazers.

LEDs last longer and are more efficient then traditional lighting. They can also have different colors and still be the same unit (see Windseeker)
These are pictures of the Myrtle Beach Skywheel (equipped with LED):

LEDs IMO would make Giant Wheel come to life at night much more then traditional lights ever could.
What I would *like* to see on the Giant Wheel would be LED "bulbs" in a curved pattern to match the original lighting package. Notice the light bars on the wheel at the top-left of this page. By comparison, the most recent Giant Wheel lighting is more like that seen on the wheel at the bottom-left of that same page. Now imagine that classic pattern with the curved light bars, only done with color-changing LED lights., particularly since the LED lights have a nice habit of *not* burning out...

John mentioned that they were changing back to the original recipe for the home style fries. When did they switch from the original recipe to the current one? I have heard people rave about Cedar Point's french fries. At least the last few years, the fries have not been anything spectacular.
Going back to the Chausee for a second...I believe Cedar Point is responsible for the maintenance of the road. They do the snow plowing in the winter and it wouldn't surprise me if they took care of things such as the signage as well. Since they have their own sign shop they can probably do it cheaper than the County can.

Glad to hear about all the little improvements. My first visit to the park was back in 2001, Everything was great, maybe because it was my first time, or maybe because it was actually great, i don't know.
I have been back twice since, in 2007, and in 2010. Each visit back I noticed a decline, a decline in attention to detail primarily, a little trash on the midway, burnt out lights, declining food quality (which isn't a huge issue, i would just go to Dave's), but I know the fries tasted better in 2001, than in 2010.
Hearing about all this change, I am considering another trip this year, I would love to see it all. (I live in fort lauderdale, not easy to pick up and just go)
So I've been thinking about the whole Dinosaurs Alive thing and I'm liking it more and more. The only problem I have is the dinosaur that will be at the front gate and around the park.

Not to be rude, but what's the difference? Woman, girl, female, misses, señora. Don't they all mean the same thing?

What's the problem?
Let's keep the dinosaurs confined to the island, I don't wanna see a 60ft one as I'm entering the park. It's bad enough I have to see them on Millennium. There an attraction in a specific location, they don't need to pop up around the park like at Kings Island.

So it was announced that there would be a dinosaur up by the Main Gate? Did I miss this announcement?
It's called advertising. When they built Millennium Force, or Dragster, or Magnum they put signage and banners around the park to let people know they had something new. What better way to let people know that they have a new dinosaur attraction than to build a giant one for everyone to see as they enter the park?
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I think it's called advertising a new attraction.
I also wish they didn't sell candy at the checkout at a grocery store. Why? Because my daughter always wants it. She never gets it, but wants it, and I'm forced to say no. Fun times.
Hopefully you get the idea.
Guess what? That dino at the front gate (if it is indeed is there) is not there for you, it's for the drooling 5 year old in line behind you whose parents have expendable income in their pockets.

Yeah they have said it will be a T-Rex (just like KI). I think it was mentioned in a tweet but don't hold me to that.
Not sure where they will place it but they did mention that it would be at the front gate. Possibly inside the gate where the gargoyle is during Halloweekends?
*Edit* Found it, https://twitter.com/CPGMJohn/statuses/172059792842559490 so there will be a "park greeter" dino that's T-Rex. He doesn't say exactly where it will be located at though.

^Yeah, that does not necessarily equal Front Gate, or anywhere near the Front Gate for that matter. But it would make sense to have at least one dino somewhere outside of the attraction so those who are questioning spending the money to go in can get a glimpse of what they will see.
My guess would be placing one along the road on the way in. Maybe just past the Tolls on the grassy hill that was built last year. That way everyone will see it as they drive in because not everyone uses the Front Gate.

Girl, especially when referring to a successful professional woman, is disrespectful.
Would you have referred to Hildebrandt as a boy? No.
They are adults and should be referred to as such.
