2012 Hopeful... suspense is killing me lol.

The past 2 years I applied late in the hiring season, literally like at the end of April and haven't even gotten a call. I am really hoping to get hired this year, I worked at another amusement park in rides for 3 years. I really want a ride at CP... hopefully calls go out soon.

This has been on my bucket list, and quite honestly any other job I have had other than an amusement park has sucked. I'm a people person and can't stand being locked behind a desk all day in a job. Its my muse and passion.

I been "snoopying" around the posts here for awhile and finally created an account, waiting to see when calls are going out.

I even applied for a sweep position as my 3rd choice... :)

I'm pretty sure the suspense is killing us all.

If you don't mind me asking, what other park did you work at?

I seriously keep checking my jobnet and all it says is "your application is currently on review by our hiring managers in the Park Operations Soak City and Challenge park" ... it's been like that for few days now. i don't know why I insist on checking it everyday

Mine says they are hoping to fill most positions by May 1st.... ugh!... I worked at Kennywood for 3 years.

I'm from the Pittsburgh area and have known a few people that have worked at Kennywood! Although, I haven't been there since '09 because of working at Cedar Point.

If you recently applied, it takes a week or so for your application to drop into the system, which is when you'll get the: "Your application is currently on review by our hiring managers for the job choices that you indicated" message. Which pretty much just means that your application can be reviewed by a manager.

Honestly, Im pretty sure everyone keeps checking their status, haha. I know I check multiple times per day.

I stalked the website until the 2012 apps went live... I applied the last week of December. I worked the Thunderbolt, Raging Rapids, Pitt Fall (de-funct), and Exterminator during my years there.

I really want a coaster, but for a first year I think thats a big dream lol. Like I said I'll even sweep, the company I was working for out sourced my Mgr position. I want to work there and relocate to the area Cleveland -ish) at the end of the season... hey we can all have a dream right?

Ah. My friend Lance worked mainly Garfield's Nightmare / Turnpikes when he was there in '09, I want to say?

And I really don't think that's too big of a dream. My first year, I was contracted to Millennium Force. I know a lot of people who after working at the park relocated to the Sandusky area. So I mean, this doesn't seem to unrealistic at all. :P

True life. If I dont get in this year I am probably just going to go to SFGA... i haven't worked at KW since 2006.

The JOBNET application says :
