I thinking of buying a Platinum Season Pass @ $165. It includes everything. Plus Perks and Discounts. Do you have a Season Pass?

A season pass is a very good investment if you're planning on staying in an off site hotel or plan on coming to the park more than two times.
I noticed in your other topic that you might be thinking about staying on point. So I'll try to list the benifits of each and compare
On-Site hotels: One hour early entry, Ticket packages with park tickets around 29 dollars, everything all in one place (really won't need a car during your stay at the resorts)
Platinum Pass: 165 dollars, unlimited admission to Cedar Point and soak City, free parking, hit or miss discounting in park. It maybe different this year but some of the better Point perks from years past : BOGO Challenge Park and 10% discount on hotels (but this can change when 2011 perks are announced)

Cedar Fair Platinum Pass is valid for unlimited* season-long admission and FREE parking at:
This is a ton of Parks included in one pass. I'm 30 mintues from Dorney, I'm sure I'll use the pass. Maybe visit the others too.
So now my new question is.....
Is there an off site resort you would recomend? Cheaper then Breakers but just as nice/better accomadations?
Have you been to any of the other Parks??
Many Thanks.

There's not a lot to choose from in Sandusky as far as resorts go. Depending on when you go, Kalahari can actually be relatively inexpensive (~$150+/night in May, though upwards of $200/night in June), and offers more in the way of the resort experience than most in the area, even if you have no intention on using their water park.

Resort choices are few around the area:
Usually the three indoor waterparks (Castaway Bay, Kalahari, Great Wolf). I highly recomend the Kalahari, but it can be very expensive at times.
Sawmill Creek Lakefront Resort which is a few minutes down the street from the park. And there is also a few up near the islands about a 20 drive from the park

We had platinum passes last season, and they paid for themselves in two weekends. The rest of the summer at CP and Soak City plus a Father's Day trip to Kings Island were all gravy. Throw in the free parking and early entry, and you get rock star parking. We never parked more than one row back from the handicap parking all summer when we made early entry. Add in the trips the wife and kids took to Soak City while I was at work (dad isn't a water park fan) and they were the best entertainment investment we have ever made. Will be purchasing them again this year.

I live an hour from Dorney and visit Dorney about 15 times a year. We haed out to CP 2 or 3 times a year, we usually stay at the South Shore on Cleveland road. It's nice, the pool is good with a hot tub attached. It's close, only about 7 hotels away from the causeway, you won't hit much traffic as most people are coming from the other way. If you travel with a family, they have 2 and 3 bedroom suites priced about the same as a room at Breakers. As for other parks we head to King's Dominion the 2nd weekend in April every year, it's never really crowded there that time and it's the earliest park to open.
I'm trying hard to save enough money for a Platinum pass this year. The last time I had one was in 2009, I notice they have a "recharge" on the CP website, would that be good for my 2009 pass or will I need another photo taken?
My picture is from 2009. I recharged in 2010 and for 2011. I don't know if the fact you didn't have a pass for 2010 matters or not. I can't see why it should matter. You have the same pass I do. Call CP to make sure.
I should also mention the fact my last name changed, I got married last Feb 7th, 2010. But thanks I'll call the park to find out :)
