2009 Halloween weekends

I have heard a rumor that Monster Rock will 

not be at Halloween weekends this year.  Has

anyone else heard this?  If so, who is taking

there place?  Thanks 

Nothing has been announced yet, so nothing is set in stone yet. If I remember right, they made the Halloweekends announcement at the end of Auguest last year. So hopefully all the information for this year will be announced sometime soon. Just keep your eyes open!

As for the Monsters Rock show, I can't confirm it for sure. But I do know of one show that will not be there this year. The show is the Trio Of Terror. My name is Anthony and I was one of the performers, I did The Black Cat. We were informed a few weeks ago that Cedar Point is bringing in a comedy show to replace our wonderful Poe shows. They said that they wanted to take Halloweekends in a new direction and that The Trio Of Terror was not part of it. The comedy show they are bringing in is from Knott Berry Farm.

I know that there are many loyal fans of our show during this time of the year and I feel that everybody should know what is going on. We have put a lot of time, energy, and love into our performances and I think it shows. We all look forward to this time of the year to be able to perform 70 shows during the end of the season and the news has hit us hard. It is sad that they feel we no longer have a place at the park, a place that we have had for nearly 10 years! A few facts about it: Last year during Halloweekends, we had the largest audiences every weekend for our shows, more than the others combined! We also have people that come to the park because of our shows.

I do not know what else the park is planning on changing or what other shows are going to be cut. I can tell you that our producer said that there are other shows that are on the chopping block as well this year. Stand up and let Cedar Point know how you feel. I want to take a moment and thank everybody here for the support that you have given us over the years. David, Chris, Tim, and myself considered ourselves to be very lucky to have the best job in the world and it would not have been such a success if it wasn't for you, our loyal fans and audiences who would return week after week. I, and the rest of the Trio of Terror are upset by the news and I think I speak for the others when I say that Cedar Point deserves to hear what you think of their new direction.

Once again, I want to thank everybody for all the support that we have received over the years. It has truly been a blessing to be able to perform classic literature in a theme park to a loyal and appreciative audience during Halloweekends. ^ So it is true that Trio of Terror isnt coming back. I was hoping that it was just a rumor. It was such a popular attraction during Halloweekends too. I'm sorry for everybody's loss. :( I'm sure you will get emails about private events, it was such a great show. I wish the best of luck to you, David, Chris, and Tim!

www.halloweekends.com will answer that. I believe the show is being replaced, and I haven't heard whether it will be a live band or just singers.

What are they thinking, that was a great show !!!

Has anyone ever been to Kings Islands Halloween Event? I was thinking of going this year and wondered how it compared to CP's.
