Wow Chief, that's the first time I've heard someone besides myself use that in a sentence. lol
Though whenever I say it, I usually follow it with "I'd rather take 17 seconds of that(Dragster) and be laughed at for being a fan of it, than 17 seconds of (you know what).......cause that's where the REAL ridicule begins.";)

I was just pointing out that he did not post anything.

^ I realize you're new to the site and excited about posting. But, you don't have to reply to every thread on the board in one night. Just a friendly tip.

I mentioned that the tower would then look like a huge condom. Of course we had quite the laugh about that. :)

By the way, nice. That would be so funny to see. Then CP could get more sponsers at least ;)

I didn't want to start a new thread about this, so I just brought this one back from the dead.

It looks like the construction equipment from the blog post is being put to good use as seen HERE. :)

The original pile of dirt they showed us in the blog was likely from the structure they built (I belive for storing the floats) There is a second structure at the front of the park by disaster transport behind the games area.

As to what they're doing on the midway, who knows. Trying to find burried treasure perhaps? ;)

^ - It looks like the island in front of the SkyRide station has been ripped up. Interesting to say the least.

Goodbye MrScott

John

Jason will have to post a "play by play" later tonight. :)

I'm sure it's just utility work or something, but it's fun to watch none the less.

Unfortunatly, my computer is not on today. No captures today. :(

Maybe I'll go home at lunch and turn it on. :)

I bet a nickel the concrete is being redone.

Here's an update from Saturday...

The structure appears to be an area used for charging the floats... but, there are some markings close by...

I'm going with Texas Twister being removed from Geauga Lake to Cedar Point with water and fire effects around it :)

I doubt it, that ride has seen its better days. It looked like a 7 year old painted it with a Wagner power sprayer. It also seems to have lost its power some too. I can remember when the program was pretty intense, now it's just meh.

eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!

Ride on, MrScott!

Wasn't Texas Twister one of (if not THE) first Top Spin in the US? Would it even be worth it to move that to Cedar Fair's flagship park? I would imagine it's up there in age. Putting it in a high capacity park would probably kill the ride.

Texas Twister was the first Top Spin in North America. It opened in 1993.

bpuch had a smiley in the post. I belive it was a sarcastic remark. All 3 locations where work is being done would not be places a ride would go. 2 of them are in storage / maintenance areas and the 3rd is under Sky Ride.

If Cedar Point got one, I would think they'd get a Giant Top Spin. Texas Twister has a 40 passanger capacity, whereas a Giant Top spin like Tomb Raidar at Kings Island has a capacity of 77.

It's where they put the floats for after the parade. It's not a ride, it won't be a ride.
