Granted I've only seen maybe three to four shows while waiting for Wicked Twister over the past couple of years. But, there was never many people in the stadium for the shows. Could be a bad location, lack of advertising, or just a bad show.
That's a prime area for redevelopment though. They've been slowly updating the area for many years now, so that's a good sign I think. Could be exciting!
I wouldn't necessarily say shabby Craig, but by no means is it spectacular. I mean there isn't anything there that makes it nice. I do like walking down that corridor towards Ocean Motion because it's shady and relaxing. I think a good idea would be to scrap the dive stadium, possibly relocate Ocean Motion (keep it in that area though), maybe even rework the beach entrance, and give Peanuts Playground a revamping. Throwing in a new moderate thrill ride for 2008or9 would be nice as well.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Yuck......country music:(
I have really enjoyed the shows in the red garter the last few years, now they are going to spoil them with country music.
If they want to do country music, they should stick it in the back of the park in the palace theater where it would fit in better.
As for the diving show.
I thought the show was just o-k. It seemed like the same old show every year, and just was not that funny. I miss the dolphins. I am curius as to what will happen to the stadium now that there is no show.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
No Dive Show?
Perhaps with Frontier Town's recent rennovation, we are going to see the former Oceana midway the next area to see some TLC?
That area just hasn't been the same since the dolphins left. The former Bearinstein Bear Country has been looking quite drab for the past few seasons as well.
Dead Men Tell No Tales
Maybe it's just the nerdy music major in me, but I wish they'd bring back the old time tradition of having a "Cedar Point" concert band. The ballroom would be a great place to have concerts, and there's all kinds of outdoor venues. You can't tell me that it wouldn't be a crowd pleasing idea.
I'd play in it. :)

There is deffinately no dive show this year, and what they're planning on doing with the stadium is a mystery to me. However I will say that Live E does have a decent size warehouse in the stadium basement and that would be a shame to let go. But progress happens and I'm not one to change it only one to wonder the best way to overcome the challange. And back off the country music, I'm sure they know what they are doing, and I highly doubt that you'll find any Chris Ledoux, Hank Williams, or Johnny Cash in the show, Most likely the more rock inspired tunes from recent catalouges.
Basement?
That's interesting. I would think the water level would be a bit too high for a basement to be below ground level there seeing as that it's a peninsula.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
As long as they don't do that crappy country version of Lips of an Angel, I'll give the show a chance. If they start doing that, however, that is when I walk out. I actually wouldn't mind some Johnny Cash in the show, as he's the only country artist that I like.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Well, for now that is the case. Live E has no other storage facilities, and there is a lot of gear both for regular season and Halloweekends. As for the dryness question, the basement is above the water table.
And I agree with Corey, if Live E is using country, itll be good country.
As for the other shows in the park, Centennial should be a good show as well. *** Edited 4/5/2007 10:18:27 PM UTC by del212s***
