The shows for 2007 have been posted. New shows in 2007 include "Dazzle…Beyond Divine" at the Centennial Theatre, "Rock ‘n Country!" at the Red Garter Saloon, and "The Misadventures of Molly and Maverick" at the Palace Theatre.
Again this year, Jammin' DJs will only be featured at Millennium Force, and weekends only at Raptor. Also returning will be "Snoopy's Summer Vacation" in the Good Time Theatre and "Hot Summer Lights" on the Iron Dragon and WildCat Midway.
Interestingly enough, there is no sign of a diving show.

I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy the show in the Red Garter this year since a feature of it will be country (I'm not a country fan by any stretch), which kind of disappoints me because I've always loved watching the band in there.
As for the diving show, maybe that will come at a later date since it usually doesn't start until late May. Or maybe they haven't gotten any divers for it yet...does anyone know how crowded the show was last season?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
While I'm thinking about it, I really hope they do some things differently with Hot Summer Lights this year. The show wasn't really as exciting as I think it could have been given the kind of system and method of projection that they have. The firewater was used nicely, but was, unfortunately, the only thing that really grabbed my attention. One thing that I think they could improve upon is using the three screens in a way that makes sense. For example: instead of having two or three different things going on most of the time, make it so that there is a progression of movement across all three screens with one part of the story line. I know I found it confusing and slightly annoying with how they used the three screens last summer.
I thought the song selection was pretty decent, though I still think that could improve as well. Maybe throw in some Blue Man Group (Time To Start for example) or something that can pump up the audience and get them involved at the beginning of the show. The ending, in my opinion, was another example of the over-use of 9/11 to invoke emotion or get people to connect. If I were to make a decision about the finale for the show this year, I would say throw a patriotic session in there, but keep it short (one or two songs) and end on a high energy level, maybe with the last part being a fast flurry of coaster POVs, maybe some shots of guests earlier in the day, with the finale being a view of a TTD train crossing the "finish line" (either a front row POV or side shot) with a nice ending round of fireworks and firewater.
Songs that could be possible high energy enders: Vertigo by U2, Beethoven by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (not your every day orchestra, think a hard rock style medley of Beethoven pieces), Cadillac Phunque by Family Force 5, Free Bird (last 5 minutes) by Lynard Skynard, Bring 'Em Out by Hawk Nelson, Nothing But a Good Time by Poison, Ready To Go by Republica, Takin Care of Business by BTO, Hot Rod Lincoln, No Particular Place to Go by Chuck Berry, Rock and Roll All Night by Kiss, Rock and Roll by Led Zepplin, Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood...and I think I'll stop there. *** Edited 3/28/2007 4:40:40 PM UTC by BlueStreak64***

^ You are correct.
As for the country portion of the Red Garter show, I guess I'll reserve judgment until I see it. I love the show, but I can't stand country, so it'll be interesting to see how they do it.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
If the stadium goes, then I wouldn't be surprised to see a HUSS Giant Top Spin there in the future similar to the Riptide models. But that is an entirely different discussion, so forget that I even said that...
Now, I'm not going to miss the diving show, but I wonder why it isn't happening this year? My guess is that they couldn't get enough (or any) divers. After all, it is just a little over a year until the Olympics, and aren't one or two of the divers usually Olympians? *** Edited 3/30/2007 6:50:48 PM UTC by BlueStreak64***
