Yes, they still do have the same seatbelt issues, although they are a LITTLE bit more forgiving this year with the new routing.

However, I believe this has everything to do with leadership and the crew actually moving their ass to clear the trains.

Yeah, I talked to Michael both days over the weekend and he said the crew was busting their tails so fast that he actually had to tell them to slow down because it was cold on saturday.

Thanks Mike!

I agree - it's nice to have a crew busting their asses for a change instead of making excuses about the seatbelts, loose articles, blah blah blah.

Same goes for Magnum's crew which looked much improved and that was even after a tough morning in which some of them went up the lift four and five times.

Hopefully the maintenence people can get all these rides running reliably now! :)

Things seemed to be running more reliably on Wednesday then they did earlier in the week. I think things are starting to work themselves out.

Mon, Tue and Wed MF did run great, no doubt about it. I will also say that I think Dragster ran a lot more consistently than it used to. They were really getting the trains launched on a steady pace.

You were the one who said hi to me at Speedzone, correct? If so, it was good to meet you. :)

The other week I was there, they ran all three trains with NO stacking. Yes, believe it. Just like it used to.

Train 1 being dispatched
Train 2 being unloaded (not waiting)
Train 3 on course

When 1 left, 2 went into load station and train 3 did not stop at all coming into unload. Many times. It was great. The crew is amazing.

Wow, this is totally awsome, I hope this keeps up in the peak summer season. If all this is true, this has to be the best MF crew in several seasons, at least in terms of hitting interval!

Ive been wondering, what do you crews/employees do when a ride like this is down for a week? Get time off, work somewhere else in the park doing busy work?

If the downtime is a day or so, they will normally have you do cleaning around the ride. This happened to us in 2004 when we were down for a day and a half. We swept queues, VanGogh'ed the queue rails (stupid freeway ink), Washed Trains, sprayed down the platform, etc...

If the downtime is extended, depending on staffing needs, crews will either be sent to other rides, or sent back to the dorms for a few days... It all depends...

On Sunday all we pretty much did was clean. We were constantly sweeping the queues, and I went and decobwebbed the entire fence that goes around from the train station to the queue to underneath the station. I also pulled out all the weeds in the concrete slab right under the 4th turn.

Yesterday we started out cleaning, so I hosed down and squeejeed (sp?) the load and unload station, and while I was in the middle of whiping down the big MF sign, we were all sent to the season pass office for a few hours. Then we came back and cleaned some more. I swept all the way down to Gemini, and then swept all the way back to the train station. So basically, the park is really clean right now :).

Oh, how I miss de-cobwebbing under Millie's station. Those spiders would get huge from all the bugs they ate...

I thought about starting a new thread giving mad props to the MF crew this year. For the first time since the 2003 season they actually got me to wait. In a line!

I've heard so much about the crew this year kicking butt so I decided to try it out.

WOW!

My wait was so short (30 mins) on a Friday night (Coastermania) and I was amazed. Because from the point I was waiting from was usually an hour wait. Ever since the whole seatbelt issue has arisen the waits for this ride has become unbearable since I know those trains could fly out of the station quicker. The 2006 MF crew is doing it this year that rivals any crew that I can remember.

I don't know what is in the water you guys are drinking, but keep it up! You guys are awesome this year!
