2005 Season Pass Prices

Combo Passes are really for people who visit alot. I live three hours away, I'm only paying $94.00 for a Season Pass with Joe Cool.

I think a Season Pass with Joe cool would cost $104.00. I could be missing something though.

As for me.. I will spring for the Geauga Lake upgrade. So my total cost will be $89+26+15+40=170. The wife will be the same, minus parking. So another $130. Total cost $300.

I am sure that I will get every cent out of this purchase next season, as I have this season.

If you determine that a CP/Dover combo is a better value for your family, then that's what you should do

Bingo.

The kids actually prefer DLP over SC. Now that the cost reversed, it's a no-brainer.

Why would you get a geauga lake parking pass when you can just park in the mall accross the street. :)

What's the price for a Geauga Lake season pass with the Cedar Point upgrade? I can't find that. thanks.

The GL add-on dose sound like a sweet deal, but there's still some questions about it.

1. Will the GL add-on be put on your CP pass(much like JCC), or will you get a second pass to use at GL?

2. Will there be a GL parking add-on option, if the GL add-on is on your CP pass, or will we be able to buy a GL parking pass?

3. Will GL offer the same type of deal?

Good questions, Shaggszgn. I like CP better, but I live closer to GL so I need to find the details before I buy anything.

From what i read if you buy a Cedar Point pass with a geauga lake add on you buy the Joe Cool Club and a parking pass for Cedar Point you will be set to get into the point free and free into geauga lake free but will have to pay for parking at geauga lake each time and can not even get a parking sticker cause you do not have a geauga lake season pass which is required to buy a parking pass it would have been nice to have a parking combo of some sort
I can't imagine they would "prevent" you from buying a Geauga Lake parking pass when you get the Geauga Lake season pass w/ your CP combo pass.

If not, don't expect a lot of frequent GL visitors with that pass. Getting reamed for parking each time you enter will grow old quickly.

I have a season pass to Michigan Adventure, and I didn't get a parking pass until like my second trip, and they didn't ask to see my season pass. I don't think they care if you have a season pass if you want a parking pass. At least thats the way it seemed at MAdv.

From what I read, you will also have an option to add CP onto your 2005 GL pass. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have that pricing structure published yet. Anybody want to take a guess on what this is going to cost?

If it's about the same price (maybe even a little cheaper) it might be a better option for those of us who live 3 hours away, don't go to Soak City and rarely get to use Joe Cool, since GL has a waterpark included with admission.

I'm going to have to say that is one hell of a deal.

I have been going to Cedar Point for YEARS, and then some, and I have never been to Soak City :ducks:

I mean, I go to the point a LOT, too.

I think I'm going to buy the combo pass this year, so I can just go chill at the swim-up bar if it gets too busy or whatever.

Seems like a good idea to me.

Thank you Junior!! That page wasn't updated the last time I looked.
Thanks for the info.

No problem, I think the page was just put up this evening (9/14).

As a side note, the Questions Page has a lot of useful information on it that is not on the main season pass page like:

Q: Will Season Passholders receive discount parking for 2005?

A: Yes, you may purchase a season-long parking pass for $40. This special pricing is only valid Sept. 17 through Nov.

Making the Geauga Lake pass 40% more expensive ($69 vs. $49) is an interesting approach to solving the attendance problem there...

Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...

I'm guessing it wasn't only the season pass holders who weren't visiting the park. More likley single day tripers.

TTD is sinking too! said:

First off, I am sure Cedar Fair and Geauga Lake have more than qualified people who determine these ratios. Cedar Fair has been doing very well as a business, I am sure they know what they are doing.

2nd point. I know for a fact that if I had paid more for my SFWOA or GL season pass I would have visited more often. In fact, I chose not to go a couple times because it was only a minute loss for me to now go. If the pass had been more I would have been influenced to visit the park more often. And as we have heard many time before in other threads, parks make money from Season pass holders from concessions. games, and the like, not from admission.

$557 For a family of four, that's 3 combo passes and 1 junior combo pass, and the $40 parking pass. My family and I have visited the park 17 times this year, and have plans to go at least 2 more times and have gone to Soak City 4. That's 19 visits, divide that up equals up to be $7.33 per visit and $2.11 for parking. I'm from Toledo, so it's to far at all. But the Geauga Lake add on my not even apply, I'm not sure I'll be able to pass the exit to Cedar Point and head to Geauga Lake. But as a free add on I think I'll make it at least once. To me $7.85 per person (including parking) is one hell of a deal. And it will probably draw us to a park we have been to in 11 years FOR FREE + parking of course. That's 2 parks one 1 1/2 hours away and the other 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. SIGN ME UP!! How long is it from Toledo anyhow?

Is there any major construction on SR2, or the Ohio Turnpike? Or even on (SR?)250? I know Interstate 280 thru Toledo may cause some delays. Any other delays that someone may know of?
