2005 Closing Day

I can not believe how quickly this season has gone by! It seems like yesterday it was MaxAir’s media day!

High Po!nts: Annual closing day breakfast with a bunch of friends at TGIFs. Closing day weather was outstanding for a change!. Crisp in the morning, lovely afternoon and crisp evening.

We got our 1st front seat ride on WE and our 1st re-ride! Actually got a re-ride on DT later in the evening-that was way cool! :)
Seeing CP buds I hadn’t seen all season. You too Matt and shut the *** up! ;) Our final ride on WWL. Johnny and Ana took most of the water for us! Lunch at Johnny Rockets was it’s usual yummy (and fun) self. Our waiter definitely earned his tip and then some!! Getting hugs from some big wigs. Having a long (and understandable!!!) conversation with Mr. Skyward! Hanging out with the old gang!

Final ride - following tradition was last public Raptor train. Hubby and I got last row, seats 1 and 4 **sigh**
Sorry Jeff-I know how much you hate last ride stuff!

Funniest lines heard all day “I will be back to get your order, I have to go do Thriller right now”
Some guy on BS “This runs pretty good for a coaster that is over 100 years old”

Low Po!nts: WWL. How many of us remember the fake rock tunnel that dripped water? It is just sad to me to see things that are CP icons leaving. Maybe if it was for a coaster I might feel different, it just seems sad no guests will have a choice of a water ride that doesn’t get you drenched :(

TTD: We had no plans on riding this but due to it and no MaxAir it seemed Raptor’s line took the brunt of it. Seeing it down seems to be a common sight, maybe next year they will get the bugs all worked out of it. Yea right, and then my NY Mets will win the worlds series.

All in all another great CP season!

I hope everyone has a great off season and wonderful and safe winter!

See some of you at the GOCC and ACE holiday parties!

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
