2001 Memories

What was your best memory of the season? (employees only..;))

Well, I worked 3rd Shift Trash.  Also known as Night Trash Removal.  There was this guy, he was quite thte character and attracted trouble.  Well, one night the manager decided his job would be to wash the seagull stains off the corner of the parking lot where all the seagulls hang out in the day time.  Well, the powerwasher he had to use was a floatable type that sat in the bay.  It ran out of gas.  While trying to get it out to fill it back up with gas.... He fell into the water.  It was the first time ever anyone has fallen into the lake on the job as our manager put it... :) good laughable memories.
My favorite memory was working at racepark in general. I worked with the best crew and everyday was fun.  We had the rock sayings out at field, we "sacrificed" things to the Miss Cleo Toad rock to get it to rain and we played survivor-Ripcord/Racepark tribal wars. :)

Matt D: Are you supposed to be on break right now?

Couldn't resist!

I hate to be corny, but I have to say last night ranks right up there with my favorite memory of the season. Everything was perfect for the last train of the season. Fike was there and all the regulars were on the train. After everyone left we all got to ride as a crew, and that was I think the best thing ever. Congrats Andy on getting your bonus!

Those who were there know what I'm talking about.

Matt, for those of us that weren't could you fill us in...

MF count: 23

Actually, CPbound, not to argue or anything, its just one of those things that really can't be explained and still have the same effect. I can only imagine...the last train of people on MF, the final lap on Magnum, ah well. There will be lots of fun in 2002...;)

Gina,don't forget Nancy's "goose"! LOL :)

The perfect e-stop on TC with 21 rafts! Oh, and speaking of geese, the goose that took a ride in the flume!

Gemini 100 has some good memories...but that's a given. How about that time that it had been raining for hours, everything was clean, and Fike caught us doing absolutely nothing? Amy, "Their all downstairs cleaning." As a rush of blue and red run downstairs and Fike watches. Mullett hunts. Code 7's. Waferism. Clearing the train with Conrad doing the hand jive. I love that place. Gemini forever.
How can I narrow it down to one best thing?  Geez, I know I sound so cheezy but everything.  From that rainy day when we all got pictures of the crew by the guests, getting caught doing nothing later that day, X, pussy control (the song), my fight I got in at the end of my contract, Code 7's, code 45's, Dan, pushing the train in not to set-up, Sabrina, running to the top of the lift and feeling like I was going to roll back down, Amy, Parties in the Apartment, Conrad, setting up and then getting to C brake and telling the people how I need to quit smoking and I'll be with them as soon as I can breath again, Josh (gay and straight), Vinny, Fike, Andre, Mindy, BEN, lance...lol, mikey, racing to see who got paddle checks finished first, sandbagging, crew parties, and crew parties that we tried to do but never happened.  But we had our one kick*****crew party in 1207 (also known as 1207X) that was when Sabrina was still dating Tony, thats old school.  That was one of the best memories, the beach party crew party, also there was meeting grandma at East pizza place (remember where she lives 1711, its so sad I remember that) and everything.  Also things I foung out later like how Sabrina would help push the train out of C...LOL!  And Dans smart*****comments, fag bags, wafers, everything!  But the one thing that sticks out is being part of the best crew that park at ever seen (screw that crew of the week crap!) and working at the best amusement park in the world.   So you enjoy your day here at Cedar Point America's Rip Rocking nonstopping bebopping hiphopping roller coast!

Oh lord. Here are my "fondest" memories.

I fondly recall the time when, after doing my typical smart-ass spiel, I had a group of about twenty kids who kept running around and riding to hear me spout my misery. When they finally finished riding, they all lined up on the midway kowtowing to me because they thought I was witty.

Also, the one day Sabrina was sick and I made her spiel a few times. She was so cranky about it that I couldn't help but fall in the control booth laughing, almost causing a set-up.

Keith and Paul..sigh...my pedophile dreamboats. sigh.

I remember most fondly the blatant disregard for rules on the spiel mic--esp. when I was in charge. I loved closing the ride with my best crew members because I knew that our attitude would ensure endless laughter.

Looking for a tooth at night. Man, that ticked me off.

Now, I also have some things I would like to just as soon forget. Viz. Emily on the mic "enjoy YOUR riiide." ugh.

Wow, each season is filled with so many memories, its hard to pick a favorite. The one day I will never forget is what we foods people called "Pepsi Tuesday", that first Tuesday in July when Soak City broke record attendance, definately ranks on my list of stressful days. For any of you who knew any of the Bubble's bartenders, you can understand why everyday working with them was memorable. I want to thank all of Zones 5,6,7 for a fantastic year. Especially Zone 7, because we pulled through it all together and stronger than ever. Tony's World ruled once again!!

I dont have a 2001 Cedar Point memory. Maybe I will make one in 2002.

ahh so many memories to choose from, hmm lets see, id have to say my best memory is when there was like 3 hours of down time for weather and the whole crew on platform all huddled into the control booth and took a picture at corkscrew and then andrea came up and caught us sitting down on the platform and we all darted up while he was coming up the stairs, and he saw us cause he said, "now i know you guys have something better to do then sit on the platform"
