2 Stations

I don't think anyone has mentioned any ideas on how many stations there will be. I dont know if it would help capacity on this thing or not to have a load and unload like MF. What do you guys think?
I'm still anxious to see how long the train is going to be. I sure hope its longer than Xcelerators!

As for stations, two would probably help capacity, but I'm not sure if it is actually do-able because of the type launch this thing uses.

I would be surprised if there was only one station.

By the looks of the footers, right now, I'm guessing only one station!

I'm thinking two, but I've got a hunch that the stations won't be right behind one another. That is, the train will turn slightly (maybe 30 degrees or so) to the right as it exits the unloading station and into the loading station. I don't know exactly why I beleive this, but I do.
I was thinking they might build a long station and load two trains at onece, then have a block just outside the station that one train could sit in while the other is running.

Coincidence?

Maybe it will be one long station like on Wildcat, unload in the back and load in the front
By the looks of all those small footers and how long they are, it looks to me like its going to be 2 stations.

I think there will be a lot of shorter trains, but a short interval time. Say they can launch a 20 seat train every 30-45 seconds. That would give a capacity of 1600-2400 people per hour, and that ain't bad. :)

I guess they have a dual-station setup, but I think it would be a bit better if they had a dual load, then a single unload station. Kind of like this:

Launch section: Load: Load: hold section: Unload: hold: hold

That's 7 blocks. I think they shouldn't only have one more block than trains, but have more to prevent setups

By the looks of the footers over by Iron Dragon at the end of the brake run, I think we will see two stations.

Also, consider how much LIM this thing has to have. Wicked Twister get from 0-40 instantly, then from like 65-72, and it needs that HUGE launch run. Imagine getting from 0-125. The longer the launch run, the lower the G's.

Mocat,

From what we've been able to ascertain, no LIMs will be used on the ride. It will use a hydraulic launch system, very similar to Xcellerator at Knott's Berry Farm. While this assumption isn't concrete, it's very likely.

It is concrete, because there are track pieces that have room for the sled down the middle.
Seth, don't forget CP has the same type of track used in Xcelerators launch. I'm 100% certain that it's hydrualicly launched.

It doesn't matter whether it is LIM or hydraulic. The point was that the shorter the launch run is, the higher the G's will be. It's just common sense.

It IS hydraulic though...

Ok, I believe you! That's not the point though!

Big D, those small tan supports would not be for the station, they would likely be for transfer/storage track. The tall footers with no supports attached to them (they attach directly to the track) will be for the station(s). Look at pics from Xcelerator's construction to see what I mean.

I see now, guess there will be alot of transfer track. By the look of all those footers and all the kicker wheels in the parking lot, i think there will be at least 3 trains.

I would think there would have to be two stations to get a decent capacity. Otherwise a train will be sitting around on a brake block.
