Does anyone else feel that WildCat and Blue Streak are two of CP's hidden gems? WildCat looks like a cheap boring coaster, but it produces a not so intense but "fun" ride. Blue Streak is just a great coaster beginning to end.

I wist Wild Cat could pump more people through it's lines. I would go on it much more often.

Not me. Blue Streak is a terrific out and back, but it simply can't match the sightlines and airtime of Racer, an Allen classic and the one that started it all. Even though my first roller coaster was Scooby Doo, the Racer was the one that hooked me in forever.

I HEART Blue Streak. Classic Wooden Coaster that is severely underrated. Blue Streak is a great way to start off a day at the Point. In fact, I've been on Blue Streak more than any other ride anywhere. I guess I just like it that much. Corkscrew is also a fun one when it's not rough. I love going through the corkscrews over the midway and seeing the people underneath you.

I find Blue Streak much better of a ride than Racer / Recar. That's probalys because we go to PKI about once a week and ride Racer often not really riding Blue Streak as often.

I think Blue Streak is way better than the forward Racer. The airtime hills are the best. It isn't the tallest or the fastest, but it is still a great ride.

Count me out. Racer on either side is a total classic. Especially at night when the other side comes sneaking back up on you.

yadayada 16 roller coasters somethin' or topic related jargon mumblemumble...

So Topgun, you were either puffing the cheeba when you came up with ur top ten, or the only parks you've ever been to are Cedar Point and Kings Island.

Favorite Roller Coasters
1. Top Thrill Dragster 2. Kingda Ka 3. Millennium Force 4. Superman Ride of Steel (SFNE) 5. Nitro

I have yet to ride all 16....Sigh...

Last trip I took, the people I was with refused to ride the "kiddie" coaster (Woodstock Express) and I did't feel like riding by myself, so I had to pass on it.

Still need to find a kid to "borrow" for Jr. Gemini though :)

P.S. I LOVE Wildcat! It's one of my faves at the park; I love the airtime and the feeling of "We're going to get flung off the side of the ride" :)

You want a classic? Come to Rochester NY and ride Jack Rabbit. I think it is the 2nd oldest in the country.

Some of us don't rate coasters purely on the thrill factor. Obviously you do, as all of the coasters in your top 5 are over 200 ft, your top 4 are built by Intamin, and your top 2 are pretty much the same ride. And oh, they all opened in the 21st century. for a kid your age (i'm guessing high school sophomore), I can sum up your top five in one word: Typical.

Wildcat is one of my unofficial favourites. The thrill factor it provides in it's quick, compact ride is great. I always ride it at least once per trip. Same with Iron Dragon and Corkscrew. Many people say how they are boring and not worth it but I will always enjoy both.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I'll be at Seabreeze the last week of July, on my mega summer trip through Ontario, New York and PA. What is your opinion of Seabreeze?

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

It's a nice small park, with 2 classic rollercoasters. Make sure you ride Bobsleds as well as Jack Rabbit.

But I never go anymore because it seems that the whole city comes to the park. Sadly not the good parts of the city. Simply put there are to many smacktards that go there.

Ohh almost forgot. Make sure you ride there Pirate Ship. It's the best one I have ever been on.

OK, so what do you rate them on, their age...wtf are you talking about. The reason those five get into my top 5 is because they are the best rollercoasters I have ever ridden, and Intamin is definitely the best company.

Intamin is a good company but not the best.

Monstrous steel coasters are nice, but in general I like wood better. They feel much more unpredictable. Also almost everyone's first major coaster is wood. MF just kicks serious arse.

Thanks for the info, CP4eva'04. I love classic, little parks like Waldameer and Conneaut Lake, so this sounds right up my alley. Oh, who am I kidding? I love them all!

I'll let you know what I thought when I get back. And I'll watch out for the smacktards. :)
