Yeah if you ever get a headache...don't sit on the bench next to Mantis. That thing is like a freight train.
SteelRaptor, just go on a weekday in the first week in May the park is open. You can easily do all 16 (well, 15, unless you bring a kid), plus other treats like PT, Maxair and Skyhawk, and still have plenty of time for seconds. I've done it numerous times.

The noise that Mantis makes is excellent. That hollow thunderous roar that can be heard while waiting in like for Millennium might be my favourite Cedar Point sound.
As for riding the coasters, I've done all except Jr. Gemini.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
My hubby and I made the goal of all 16 in one day! How sad is it that a mother let us 'borrow' her child to ride on the Jr. Gemini? :) The mom didn't want to ride and her daughter really wanted to ride... I guess only fellow chatters on this board can understand. :)
Mantis - as long as you have great upper body strength and a knowing of the sudden abrupt stop at the end - its a great ride!
Yup, May 2003. Been on all 16! Oh sweet 16 they are!. As mentioned also about the Mantis how its sound is so thunderous I'd Have to agree...And ya that was the last ride of our day in may of 03. Thank goodness cause that was the end of my dad for the most part what a head rush after LOL...Guess when you do three in a row then mantis a few mins after yikes. Meh regardless can't wait till sweet 17!! >
Speaking of riding all 16, I think the winner of Tony and Tyler's "CoasterMania" contest took their 16 rides on Friday.

As of opening day 2006, I have been on all 16 (finally got on dragster). In order to say I rode all of them in 06, I had to bribe my littlest to ride Jr. G and paid him a buck (he just graduated to Iron Dragon this year). I will miss JG, hope it's still around when I have grandkids. I have always wanted to ride all 16 in one day, but don't seem to find the time.

The only thing I don't like about Mantis is the deafening noise from it while waiting in line.Same here. Raptor is really loud too.
Doesn't B&M put sand inside the tracks of their newer coasters to lessen the noise.
I think it's on option and not necessarily a standard.

I like the sound of Mantis and Raptor and all of the others. I guess I don't understand how they are too loud, but everyone has their own taste and I respect that. Mantis is loud up close though, but to me it is a happy loud, just like blaring your favorite music in the car. However, Mantis can be a head banger and not too fun beyond the 3rd "hill". But if I ride 1st seat of the train, it isn't as bad. The head banging concerns me more than the g-force related blackouts and grey outs on MF. How many times can you have your head banged about until you end up like a senior boxer with brain damage? I'll take the lack of O2 to the brain over the head banging any day. Get rid of the head banging restraints and find a better way to keep us secure IMHO. ENJOY!!!!!
2 laps on all 16 in one day in 2k4... actually i've done almost every ride in the park in one day... every ride i could fit on anyway... there is like, froghopper and kiddie bumper boats.... not that i haven't ridden froghopper.....

Ok...I have a question. Why the hell would you want to ride all 16 in one day? The only rollercoasters worth riding there are Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, Raptor, Magnum, and Wicked Twister. Some of the others are ok if there is no wait.

1. Top Thrill Dragster 2. Kingda Ka 3. Millennium Force 4. Superman Ride of Steel (SFNE) 5. Nitro
Them are "fightin' words" Patsfan82090. What about Gemini? Blue Streak? Wildcat? There are others, but you come off as a lost cause, so I won't waste my time, or yours.

Those fall under the category of being ok if they have short waits, except for Wildcat, which always has a long line when I'm there.

There isn't a coaster at CP that isn't worth at least a 10 minute wait.
