Holding rooms seems to be banned in most of the employee literature, but they seem to do it anyways. Since she comes in close to you, there shouldn't be much problem.
Posters are allowed, yes. Though, if you're in the Commons dorms, your space is limited. Outsiders can not stay in the dorms.

Hope this helps.

Hey, this is my first year at cp and I have a few questions. I process in on june 9th, how likely is it that there will be any good rooms left in the apartments (particularly Bayside)?

And I was also wondering how strict they are about alcohol? If I brought some with me and kept it in my room do you think the cleaning people, if there are any, will find it?

I completed the online training and it said that people should tell if there is alcohol kept in the rooms, how likely is that to happen?
If you are not 21 no alcohol! Sorry that is in the rule book and I think CP enforces it!
haha.. I think redbrigade is drunk him/herself... They TRY to enforce it, but it's just like a regular dorm. If you're not loud, you're not upsetting anyone else in the room, and you don't make an arse out of yourself then you won't have problems with alcohol. I don't live on point, so HA! YOU CAN'T GET ME! But I'm pretty sure there's very very specific laws all 'dorms' need to keep in mind that include but are not limited to:

No 'unlawful searches' (aka: No searches without permission from residents and w/out probable cause)

Absolutely no 'opening of anything belonging to you'. (aka: They can't go into your room w/out a search warrant and look in your fridge without you opening it yourself, which you don't have to do - by law. They CAN look in your lockers, though, because it's their property, but the fridge is yours...)

While it might not be the same for these 'dorms', I know these are def. the way it goes in a college dorm, so if any of those are violated, the offese can be taken to court and overturned in an instant.

BTW: I can't spell... get over it.

Actually, since Cedar Point owns the housing, they have the right to search your dorm/apartment for any reason, without warrant. If you don't allow them to search, then they may terminate you.

But you're right about the alcohol thing. As long as you don't become abnoxious, people get away with underage drinking all the time. Just drink it INSIDE your apartment/dorm and don't get so drunk that you act stupid and loud.

Aren't dorms owned by the universities too?

I guess only a lawyer would know where to draw the definitive lines for these sort of things...

The same thing with the university if you don't allow them to search the room you can be kicked out but they can't open fridges and chests that are solely your property... I have no idea if this is a real 'law' but after hearing it from about 7 different people, all of them not friends, it kind of seems, at least for a university standpoint, that it is either true or a darned good hoax...

I'm out... I split tomorrow..... bah
