We started our Starlight night at Cedar Point by driving in and being shocked by all the cars in the parking lot. The whole entire parking lot was filled and there were barely was any spots left. It was the most crowded I have ever seen it.
Here are the rides we went on and their wait times:
Top Thrill Dragster: 2 hours; ride ran great the whole night and the staff worked hard to keep the line moving.
Magnum XL-200: 1 hour
Gemini: 30 minutes
maXair: 30 minutes
Wicked Twister: 45 minute wait; ride broke down for 5 minutes while it was on the breaking run.
Skyhawk: We didn’t make it on to because it was only running one swing.
We also went in a few haunted houses:
Lair of the Vampire: 30 minute wait
Pharaoh’s Secret: 30 minute wait
We walked through the 3 paths also and here is what I thought of them:
Fright Zone: scary music, dense fog, and flashing strobe lights were a nice effect; however there were only a few Screamsters and they seemed to be a little understaffed.
Werewolf Canyon: We didn’t go in this one due to its 2 hour wait.
CarnEvil: Carnival music and costumes were a nice touch. It is too short and also didn’t have enough Screamsters. I didn’t even see the monkey with the symbols. The fog also wasn’t dense enough so you could the Screamsters in front of you.
Fear Faire: This was by far my favorite fright zone. A great investment for Cedar Point! The eerie music, costumes, lights, scenery, props, path, and fog all was magnificently placed and put up. The place was decorated greatly with numerous vendors and shops along the path. Also, Point Pavilion made the fog thick because it stayed under there so you couldn’t even see your own hand in front of you. It was a pretty long scare zone and I found it very fun.
Yes very packed, but I still found it too be really fun. But today it was dead.

101 on Magnum and counting...
It was busy last year on Sweetest day as well. I went last year and rode 4 rides that was it because of the lines.

I remember when "Fright Zone" was the only Fright Zone at Cedar Point, it was soo great. The path was filled with screamsters. My fear (no pun intended) is that as Cedar Point has made more Fright Zones, they have not really added more screamsters, and instead have spread them evenly throughout the four zones- it kinda sux!
You can't say the fog is a fault of Cedar Point because with the wind the fog just blows right out, and for not seeing Screamsters some of them could've been on break.....they are human too ya know.
There was a 2 hour wait for Iron Dragon Saturday!
Or so the sign said. But it was pretty long.
But it was still very fun. Friday was pretty slow though, and today... well everything was pretty much a walk on.
Saw Dragster roll back a ton of times... but of course, not when I was on it! I thought we weren't going to clear the 2nd and 3rd hills on MF a few times today as well.

Compared to last weekend, there was a lot more fog in the fright zones...

I thought MF was running slowly as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one. The train before the final turnaround looked to be going much slower than normal, and I also thought we might not make it over on the second hill. Nice TR. *** Edited 10/23/2006 2:24:43 AM UTC by Top Thrill 182***
Thrills Around the Corner!
I was one of the people that got a rollback today! 2nd train of the day front row. The 1st train rolled back twice in a row, and the third train rolled back too. Finally, they let all the people out and circulated empty trains for about 20 minutes until they got them smoothly making it over. The park was extremely empty today. The weather was pretty bad but the walk-ons made up for it. Even MF had a walk-on all day. Dragster's wait was about 30 minutes because they weren't filling the last two cars. *** Edited 10/23/2006 2:33:41 AM UTC by ttdboy111***

Yesterday was amazing. No people walk up on almost every ride. Just a 15 minute wait for Dragster. Can you say only person on the entire Wicked Twister train.

What have the crowds looked like on fri nights? My son and I are going there next friday. i am hoping for a small crowd!
Hey KidsRRT, Friday and Sundays are the least crowded days during Halloweekends, at least from my experiences this has been true. My son and I went Friday Oct. 13 and we had a blast. The park had a decent crowd, big enough for atmosphere but with short lines. We plan on being there this Friday as well. Hope you guys have a good time! :)
I'll be there all three days of closing weekend too. I also hope to see a good crowd but short wait times. I was spoiled in July, we walked on to every ride on friday and saturday except for TTD and MF.
I also will be returning for closing day. In past years, how crowded has it been on a Saturday of closing weekend?
