Terrible night. If it wasn't raining, it was 45 mph winds. The fog couldn't stick, so that ruined the atmosphere.

However, the Screamsters kept in good spirits and you could tell they were having fun. Saw the Overlord release his minions tonight. That was pretty awesome. It was actually the first time I had ever seen that. The way the Screamsters march toward the Overlord was freakin sweet and the enthusiasm they have when they approach the crowd is amazing. This is a really nice touch to Halloweekends.

3 Roller coasters folks and that all she wrote with the exception of Power Tower. The rain was sideways at times and the lights were out on the causeway. Even saw a few sparks come out of the lines holding up the lights at 1st and CP Causeway. Dragster ran sporadically in this weather. Finally around 7:20 it rolled back with a half filled train. I would say 14 out of 17 coasters were done for weather.

Highlights:
Dragster's rollback. It's been a while since she has done that. Those are always impressive and doubly so when viewed within a large crowd at the southeastern base of the tower. This position provides an interesting view as you are almost directly beneath the train.

2nd row ride on Millennium Force. Couple in front row wearing Cedar Point Blue poncho's. I'm not sure what to make of this, but they ripped from the wind during the ride. Not just in one spot either. No. Their poncho's shredded at the shoulders. This is either a testament to how bad ass Millennium Force is or how terrible the quality of those poncho's are.

Congratulations if you made it this far into the trip report.

Those ponchos really are for crap, and I'm not sure why the low quality is so necessary. Is it really that imperative to make $4.90 profit on a $5.00 item, as opposed to, say, $4.75 on something a little better?

Just curious, do you mean bad as in rough, or bad as in badass? I would probably credit the ripping of the ponchos to the low quality of the poncho added to gusting winds plus the normal speed of the ride.

Our son went last night with a friend, came home and said they pretty much just "hung out". Today looks like a good day to stay home and watch some football.

Ha. I meant bad as in bad ass. Edited to reflect those sentiments. :)

We went with friends last night who had not been in yearsm so it was sort of disappointing, but we still managed to have a great time.

It could be Millennium Force being mean in winds. I ripped my Busch Gardens one on Apollo's Chariot.

It's been a while since I experienced winds like what CP had on Saturday night. I walked past Troika (which was shut down) to see the wind blowing the ride around in circles. I was surprised how many guests were still in the park at 11:30 considering the downright nasty weather and the fact that most rides had been closed all night and the outdoor scare zones shut down at 10:30.

Yeah, it was certainly a wet and windy night. I'm still surprised on the amount of people that went through the outdoor zones...but it didn't matter, we still brought the screams!

Yes we did :-)

I was amazed at how dry our son was when he got home that night. Although it sounded like they spent most of the evening in the arcade, which would explain the dryness and the empty pockets. :)
