Same for you and your group today. Checked the web cam....looks pretty busy today. Not sure how busy next week will be.

Saturdays have been looking crazy busy, Sunday I expect being the final day will be CRAZEE busy, but, will still have fun.

Hoping that possibly we will be back in December for the Santa Hustle.

We had FL+ that I got at the presidents day sale so this was one of the best days this year.

1 Raptor

1 Blue Streak

1 Millennium

3 Maverick

2 Steel Vengeance

1 Gemini

1 Magnum

1 Dragster

2 PT 1 Shot 1 Drop, I really would love to see that retrofit with the rotation

Lines were long generally for normal lines but operations were good all things considered. The park got busier as the day wore on.

Also we determined today that pointbuzz members need to have a secret handshake for at the park. Anyone have any ideas?

I had something a bit more subtle in mind. But it'd definitely be easier to spot other point buzzers with that one.

I have no intention of participating, but out of curiosity, how does one “spot” someone by using a secret handshake? I think secret handshakes are used by guys who already know each other as members. You know, like a fraternity.

Most of the 'pointbuzzers' here I have not met nor do I know them visually. If I saw the 'handshake in progress, then I would know that they're 'pointbuzzers'.

Now, how would you know that? I got lots of secret handshakes. Like,... many.

Dennis hit the 10penny on the head. Not subtle, something others can see. But I'm not sure about rubbing fanny's together.

Walt used to sell PointBuzz tee-shirts. Even had different designs.

Seems to me there was also a " Guide To The Point" tee-shirt way back when, as well.

Parents, please shield your children's eyes from this activity! Black-shirt Higher-ups do not condone this practice, as well as drones & smoking!

I will watch this Sunday at 8:00pm for these covert activities on the loading platforms of Steel Vengeance, Top Thrill Dragster, and Millenium Force. Enthusiasts pushing for last ride of the season.Oh wait, TTD will be down for "mechanical reasons".

I don't think I can arch my back and rub a fanny without losing my balance...I'm planning to be there closing day but not sure I'll make it to closing depends on mask tolerance and how busy and how cold because some family members don't ride in the cold. I will most likely be wearing my normal fall attire jimmyburke spotted me just from that last year.

^I remember, nice patches! Stay safe.

2020 is the first season I haven't visited the park since I first went and became a superfan in 2003. I keep seeing Facebook memories of my once annual Closing Weekend trips and it makes me miss the park so much. With the border being closed this year it just hasn't been an option for me. If someone told me right now that I could make the drive to the park but not be allowed to ride anything I would totally do it and just spend the day wandering the peninsula. Stay safe and healthy PointBuzzers and hopefully next year I'll be back!

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

^^^ same with me. Started in 1995, but no visit for 2020.

This year closing day will see temps in the 30's, winds at 30-35mph and a 40% chance of rain. I don't think anyone will get much riding in. Anybody think it will snow?

Paisley's avatar

Weather channel site hourly shows possibility of rain mixed with snow after 6pm. I'm keeping a watch. If it all goes bad I might just go to attempt to get snow pictures I don't know. It looks like a very questionable day.
