? about the housing

does anything have carpet? tile floors are chilly! and slippery when wet. oh yeah, is a microwave and fridge even necessary to bring?

Bring an area rug.

Depends on where you live. In both my Bayside and Commons apartments we had carpet in the bedrooms (in Commons, there was none in the living room but since one of our roommates brought a rather large square we did okay). I believe that Gold and Cedars do not have carpet in the rooms.

Techincally... Microwaves are not allowed in the dorms at all.

As for the carpet issue. The commons dorms and the common area in the commons apartments are not carpeted (but the bedrooms within the apts is).

Bayside is carpeted except the first floor of the 700 building (not sure about the 800) and Cedars and Gold have no carpeting at all.

and cedars has no cable either. we are not even supposed to run cable wire down the halls, or telephone wires for computers. but we do./ and i love those moments when u wake up like 20 minutesbefore the bus comes- and both showers are taken. then you wait for the shower-the commons people decide to show up and clean(after like 4 weeks of not touching your apartment) yo finally get no hot water, cause it's like 9:15 and everyone(well seems like everyone) is up and decided to use all the HOT WATER) THEN NOT ONLY THAT A GREEN TAG WALKS IN TO HE BATHROOM(SMOIG A CIGARETTE) WELL YO GET OUT OF THE SHOWER. NOW NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THIS FAT BOY NAKED, I MEAN I KNOW IT CAN BE GROSS- THEN YOU GOT TO GET UR UNIFORM ON- YOUR ROOMATE LFT AND LOCKED THE DOOR WITH YOUR KEYS INSIDE THE DOOR. I HAVE BENT MORE DOOR BECAUSE OF THAT. LOL!

I know DJ.. I'm sure that Jammin's cat is still in therapy.. (that had to be the most disturbing picture I've ever seen)
