Drew Carey & CP

I was just wondering if anyone else thought that it would be cool if Cedar Point and ABC the makers of the Drew Carey Show would team up and have a "ep." of the show there. Cuz see one thing I was thinking was that since the show is based in Cleveland and it is only like 60 miles away they could have a road trip or something and then they could show off the park. If anyone wants to reply to this than can thank you.
The only obstacle that I see is that The Drew Carey Show which is on ABC, is owned by Disney. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen, but what about the filming difficulties of taping a show during the day in a potentially very busy amusement park.(?)
There could be a seen with Drew and I riding Magnum togehter. :) I know a friend of mine rode Montu with him.

hmmm no.. i know drew frequents disney i have a pic of my boyfriend with him when he (my boyfriend) was working down there but like what is said above drew is owned by disney and also they have a show there with him too so i really doubt it would happen.. Hey be happy with peanuts we got it before the guy retired and now he is passed away so we are lucky we got it when we did.

magnum of MF now that is a real question.
Here is a topic dragged from the past into the present time.

Taping an episode of Drew Carey at Cedar Point would be wonderful! Just think, the chance of seeing one of America's greatest funnymen in the great state of Ohio, in the great park of Cedar Point. This would be some great publicity for the park. You have to remember, publicity can do wonders for someone or something.

There was an episode where he almost got a dream job with Six Flags. Funny ... that doesn't seem like a dream job to me :)

Well, we can write the production team of "The Drew Carey Show." Which of course Drew is Part of. If Drew Carey can include Six Flags in an episode, then I'm sure it would be ok to do a Cedar Point Episode.  Actually there is a clip of Drew Carey on The Rosie O'Donnell Show talking about Cedar Point, that CP showed before training sessions last year.  I think Drew told Rosie "If you want to ride the biggest and best Rollercosters you should go to Cedar Point"  which she promptly replied to stating "What's Cedar Point?"  Remember Rosie likes Universal studios and Disney I think.

Edit: Now realizing that this thread is dug up from 2000, I think since then ABC is no longer owned by Disney.  I think I remember the controversial pull of the plug.... The night a movie sudden;y stopped playing at Midnight and a message was displayed on the screen for the remainder of the time of the movie stating something like ABC is no longer licensed to show disney productions....  So the question now is are they reaffiliated with Disney?  If not the chances of Drew at CP episode are now greater.

That would be cool of Drew was at Cedar Point, I wonder if he was ever there just on a vacation?
I saw that episode, and I was hoping that they would at least show the park. :)

I'm sure Drew Carey went there a lot when he was Younger.  He grew up in Cleveland.  I think he also went in 1999, I'm not sure though.  He had talked about Millennium Force being built.  I think that was on the Rosie show also, not sure about that also.

Flisk, you are right.  I do remember Drew on Rosie talking about Millennium Force before it was opened.  Never heard if he actually rode it or not.
I also saw that Six Flags episode of Drew Carey. If he should work at any amusement park, it shouls most definitely be Cedar Point.
If any of you have been to Walt Disney World, at the MGM Studios, he has this little thing that he does with a camera acting like an undercover agent out to get something or find something.  I can't really remember it too well.  But that would be really cool if he was at Cedarpoint and had that type of thing.  To me, it doesn't even have to be live!  If anybody does remember what I am remembering what do you think?
Yes, ABC is still one with Disney. In fact, ABC Family Channel (formerly Fox Family Channel) was just recently bought by Disney. There hasn't been a lapse of affiliation. That would have required Disney selling ABC then buying it back... And that did not happen.
Thank You All for bringing back my old thread. I remember when People thought that I was Stupid for bringing up this subjuct by now, I think that people like it. HE-HE
