Last Friday I noticed that the toy of choice for our group at CoasterMania was closed and taped off. Iasked the guy working the gate why and he said the belt was to small...riiiiiiight. I'm guessing the park got sick of people playing escape from the WT test chair. hehehe :)

It was still closed then? It was closed last Wednesday too.

Lets say that is the real reason. I don't get how having a belt too small a bad thing... It's better than having it too big so people fit in the chair but not the ride. Closing the chair down does not help things either. When a person who won't fit gets in line it would be better to have at least something to convince them that they can't ride instead of saying either no you are too big or having them wait in line to find out (which lowers capacity if they are too big).

Of course the bigger question is, why does it take 3 months to get the correct size belt on there!?!
.
I think the real reason is it needs to be welded.

The belt is too small? If that REALLY is the case, then it's very possible my husband CAN ride WT. The belt was just an inch too short for him to fasten in the test chair.

Yeah, that makes a ton of sense. Fill the platform with people who don't fit and couldn't test first. That'll do wonders for dispatch interval.

OldCPer, that very well could be the case. The test chair on Raptor is the same way. Since the seats are all different sizes (for some odd reason) they make the test chair a bit shorter than the rest so they don't have people fit in the chair but not the ride. If he is just a little short you guys should give it a try on a day where there is no line (which is everyday ;)).

At the beginning of the season the test chair, well the belt most likely was bigger than the seats on the rides.

Was open on Wed and Thursday last week.

Unfortunately the Magic 8 ball told me NO!. Was too long from shoulder to hip and would not buckle. :(
