Gemini 100 was fun, too bad I couldn't stay for the whole thing (Mr. Spartan had to work that night, hey what can you do...), but at least I got my first front seat ride on MF that day after a good number of laps on Gemini. I was glad to at least be a part of it and to meet other people from GTTP.

I wanted to play. I was there, rode a few times. I just had something better going on. That was my first "date" with my girlfriend. It was fun watching, though. :)

So Rob, question. What do "Technical Services" do? I currently work in Technical Support, think I could get a job?

What is the Gemini 100?

The Gemini 100 was a "challenge" a bunch of GTTPers decided to do last season. Easy-just ride Gemini 100x in one day. MANY started (24?) and only 7 of us actually completed the marathon. It took 12 hours to complete, I wanted to ditch several times but didn't. I'm glad my daughter and I made it--but would NEVER EVER do anything like that again! :) Shivering Tim had/has a film of the Gemini 100-maybe if the link is still avaliable he can give it again please? I have it downloaded into my computer and still watch it now and then. My PIC is too funny on it! :)

"Technical Services"-just know the right people and apparently anyone can get a job at CP. Hehehehehehe ;)

Just to let you know CUATCP I believe I have both of the DT records, 73 for both of them. Sorry to get off topic, but yes congrats, I wish I would have been around, I definately would have done that. I did 25x earlier this year, & it was fun! I can just imagine 100x's! I know it's been talked about b4, but we should have another one of it's kind, maybe CCMR.

Matt-I just checked the ediitoral I wrote about the Gemini 100 for the GOCC. According to it, I said the ones who finished were: Dan, Matt O, ;), Matt R, (my PIC :)) Rob, Sean, Joe E, Anne, Rob, Natalie, my daughter Sam and I. So you're right-it was 11! :)

BTW Matt I thought about you SEVERAL times during CM-I did my famous "shut the **** up" tons!!!! my friend Melody would crack up every time too!! :)

Happy Ten Year Anniversary to my fellow Gemini 100 participants. I can't believe its been ten years, what a long strange trip its been! :)

Still an unbelievable feat. Probably will never be repeated anywhere. Gemini 6 train op RIP.

I actually rode it Saturday before I had to go into work. It was a great time.

It seems that I missed the 10 year anniversary of this. Was a fun time. Seems like forever ago!!

Actually, many people have now surpassed 100 rides in a day because of the Coasting for Kids event they've had the last 3 years. But, to do it as GP would be very difficult. Did you guys walk around on every lap or did they let you stay on the ride with out getting off?

In 10 hours during the 2009 coasting for Kids marathon, I rode 129 times, and during the 2010 event I rode 142 times. The only time I got up was to move from the red train to the blue train just before the park opened. Bryan Edwards rode with me on my 142nd ride :-)

I was unable to participate this year as I was flying back from Germany. However, with the pre-park hours being on Magnum this year, I'm not sure if anyone over 100 rides this year. It should have been possible though.
