Disaster Transport Cameras

Can any of you Disaster Transport operators, or former operators, tell me where the cameras for DT are.  I know there are four that are in the control booth, but I don't know what parts of the ride they monitor!  I think it is the being part of the lift, the top of the lift, the brake run, and then the final brake run.  Would someone please help me?!

NO! Not at all, am I doing nothing wrong. Why is it automatically assumed that it is? I just wonder that for some reason if the car had valleyed, how would the employees know where the car would be? I know with the complicated computer and brake system(s) that the other cars would stop if the car hadn't cleared its zone. Let's say that it valleyed in the main room, now the starfield room, the employees would only know that the car is somewhere between the lift and the block brakes. This is why I am wondering if there would be cameras there, or if the employees would have to manually go out there themselves.

Another thing, how do the employees travel around the track before and after the day? Do you have special cars or something to get around, or is it as simple as just walking through the troughs? Are there alot of employee pathways twisted throughout the building that you travel through?

I don't know where the cameras are on Disaster Transport.

But consider this: It is usually considered good practice to make sure that a ride vehicle's motion is never started unless an operator can see the ride vehicle at the time of restart. This is why on certain rides, in order to clear a set-up, operators have to go out to lifts and brakes with keys in hand.

With this in mind, you might be able to figure out where cameras MIGHT be on the ride...

Yeah, listen to RideMan on that last post, cameras MIGHT be in those locations not only for times when starting and stopping car motion, but to also see the passengers while the cars are stopped. The sections of trough between the blocks are not that long (there are 2 block brakes between the lift and the final brake run), so its not like you have to search for where the shuttle is.

And to answer the other question, there are no special
vehicles to traverse the trough. You simply walk through it after the ride has been closed for the night, or before it opens in the morning. It is fairly easy to walk minus the steep sections and the slippery areas where the train runs. However, they always send two people together in case some one injures themselves (like from slipping).

I remember where the cameras are from when it was Avalanche Run. Here is a clue: before they had cameras, when Avalanche Run first opened, they had people stationed in the same areas they now have cameras.

I remember that, and couldn't help but think it was odd they'd park people in those locations. Granted, I seem to remember constant stops on the blocks that first year, too.

Back from Coastermania, I rode DT twice and looked extra hard for the cameras. There are two on the lift, one at the top and bottom; one at the first brake run; one at the second break run; and one or two at the final brake run. I remembered what Pete said about people being stationed at the brake runs, and while at the second brake run, I looked to my left and saw a green light. I think this was the "go" button like in the stations! I thought it was pretty cool to see.
