Wow, I'm still amazed at what they did to that building. The sight lines are pretty terrible, but I assume they have something in mind to deal with that.

I noticed the sight lines once they started building the stage area. Sitting on the far left or far right looks like it will cut off some of the view.

Of course, being a JC member means I can get choice seats, even if I do have to attend a particular show on a particular day

Although, I haven't seen the Snoopy on Ice show at Knott's, I imagine that the need for a backstage area and scenery influenced the decision to construct the partition walls, framing the proscenium. With that said, in typical theater, valences are hung on the sides of the stage (behind these partition walls) to conceal actors, stage crew, and props. If the sides of the stage are used in this way, the sight lines will be less of a problem as long as the show is choreographed with the sightlines in mind.

Since this is an ICE show, though, and the ice surface seems to extend the entire width of that enclosed area, I could be totally off track here.

An aside: Surprisingly enough, these pictures actually remind me of the sight lines of one of the largest performing arts theaters with a proscenium stage in Pittsburgh, the Benedum Center. For an upscale performing arts theater such as the Benedum, the sight lines from the side aisles really suck.

Another possibility may be that management simply isn't expecting a full house most of the time, so they just ignored the fact that 2 or 3 perimeter lines of seats have bad sight lines. Speaking of which, does anyone have an idea of the seating capacity of the TTFKACPC ;) (Good Times Theater)?

I believe the capacity of the Cedar Point Cinema was 950.
