Bring back Avalanche Run!

So working at CP, I hear rumors about how Avalanche run was covered to make Disaster Transport because the noise bothered the people that lived in those huge house next to the park...now Wicked Twister is right there and my guess is that it'll make some noise into the wee hours....so tear that freaking canopy off and winter-theme that crazy ride again!!

I heard the same rumor. The only thing I like better about DT over AR is the lift hill (being enclosed). Though I don't and didn't like either ride, AR was a beautiful looking ride at least.

Actually I dont think you would ever see that happen since the person that lives in that first house is.....well it doesnt matter, I wont make it public as to who lives there. But think about it and you can figure it out.

If you tore the building of of DT all that storage space for halloweekends would be lost! Wanna know where the bumper cars go for halloweekends underneath DT! Alot of stuff is stored behind and in DT and by tearing it down they would ahve to clean all that up and I dont think they are willing to do that. If they arent willing to spend the money to keep the animations up they arent willing to spend the money to refurbish it into AR!!!

I really wish they would DT back to Avalanche Run. I loved that ride. It has never really been the same. I know they will never take the building down, it has too many other uses. The least they could do is to get all the themeing working again and may be add some more. I needs something to make it more fun.

I recall Avalanche Run being an incredible bore...even to friends terrified of Gemini, much less Blue Streak (imagine that!)  

IMHO if it wasn't kept in the dark and slathered with props and audio clips, you'd have Draggin' Iron--only a little slower.

K, i have only been to CP twice, So will someone please explain to me what avalanch run is and is thee any pics of it that i could see?

From my understadnings I thought they enclosed the ride because of sand getting inside the troughes.

OMG, that ride looks soo fun. I think I would like ti to be enclosed though. LOL I owuld think that I was gona fall out.  So when did they take that out of CP,and when dd they add DT? DT is one of my favorite caosters just cause I like th black lights and the feel os being inside and all. AHHHHHH :(.  I want to be there rite now. Ofcourse U probably already heard this, but last time I was there, the ppl I was with didn't like the big rides, so that was all we rode.  9 times in a row. I wanna be at CP rite now.

They never removed Avalanche Run, DT is Avalanche Run, only enclosed.  They enclosed it in the 1989/1990 offseason.

I also heard from my father about the sand on the track, and it being very slow and boring due to the anticipation of the turns. I personally like it in the dark, although the effects need to be touched up! It's CP's only semi-dark ride!
