Off-season, Disaster Transport

It's my understanding that during the off-season maintenence is thrown into hyper mode.  Stuff is repainted and/or repaired.  Does this mean that DT is a possible candidate for refurbishing or am I just having in a pipe dream?

I know, it really makes me upset! They should really redo it back to it's orginal look. If not that, give it a different theme.

If CP wants to keep the coaster count, they'll have to keep DT.  Just like MM keeps around Flashback.  However, CP actually uses all its coasters all season long.

I think, since the new ride will aparentally be put into the Oceania area, they will HAVE to restore DT, IMO.

They had done some stuff to it, mostly replaced some light bulbs mid-season. But I too hope they restore more of it and make the old stuff work again.

Imagine what DT would be like if they kept the Super Jets (I think that was the name for what used to be at the DT location) and placed them in the DT building. Now that would have been something to ride.

We sorta tried that, only it was inside the building with the annual DT80. Next year will be bigger, better, and for more than one cause. Details will follow.
I agree that we should start some sort of campaign to draw attention to the things that should/need to be done on DT. I just wish it wasn't necessary to do that.

They won't get rid of DT.  It is a good ride for coaster fans that don't like the record breaking rides.  Even though the lines arent that long most of the time, it is a dark ride, allowing a break from the sun and heat, and it seems to get steady ridership.

Does anybody think also that DT should get a new theme? How about a scary horror theme?  :)

Thanks CP_Bound. Yes it was the Jumbo Jets which was at the DT location. Great ride that would have been neat inside a building with some special effects.
