Ride Op Recordings

I know this may sound stupid, but are there Cedar Point fan sites where you can listen to/download recordings of ride ops saying there things or just various sounds of the park? Whenever I'm going though "CPW" (Cedar Point Withdrawal) in the winter, I always wish I could listen to the sounds of the park off my computer......ahhh!!!!  ;-)

This gets me to a question I have about the platform announcing. While at CP in May, I noticed the Blue Streak had a recorded announcement. I don't recall any other 'coasters using a recording, and I'm curious as to why Blue Streak is different.

Actually, Millennium Force also has an auto-spiel in the load station. There used to be one in the unload station as well, but was taken out.

I speculate it was taken out because when it was there on AAA day the first year, there was no assigned seating. Since the auto spiel did not say anything about it, they have to have an actual person giving the assigned seating spiel (which most people don't listen to anyway :)).

they are there just so nothing is missed in the announcent... liability... cause if the ride op doesnt say "not resopsiable for lost items" and someone drops their camera off the crown of a coaster and it busts into 50 pieces... they can come back and say "i didnt hear anything about lost items" even thought there are like 50 signs around telling just that

Andrew e-mailed me a couple of days ago and said soon he would have a part on his site which would have the ride op rercordings on them. Hopefully that will be soon!  :)

Blue streak has an auto-spiel because there is no speiling position. They changed it for safety reasons. How can you be paying attention to the lift when you are talking into a mic. The mic can still be used and is used for giving clears, but speiling is optional.
