What terrible timing and terrible look for the park and whole chain.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

But their AI PR Agent was able to post a generic copy/paste message on behalf of each park president to every park's socials saying "safety is our number on priority" so the execs and board probably feel like they are doing great things.

Does anyone know where on the train that part comes from and if it should be something that is being inspected routinely? I don't really recognize what it would be to be honest.

All of this happening after Six Flags decimated all the park-specific PR departments is starting to feel an awful lot like Stalin having a stroke after purging all the doctors in Moscow.

Six Flags/Cedar Fair ought to be taken to task for this continued negligence. Chunks of metal should not be flying off these coasters. Enough is enough... this is just irresponsible operation.

I’m going to start wearing full football gear, helmet and pads, to the park. Flying shrapnel is not a friend of mine.

Sit tight fellas ;) Whoop, Whoop Juggalos!

^ It's unlikely you'll get hit by shrapnel, but the gear could come in handy if you happen to take a tumble off the toilet after having one too many tall boys.

Either you've been talking to my wife or there's a camera in my house I need to find. That exact scenario may have happened to me once or twice in this season.

Is there not a topic about the terrible accident on the Goliath? Just wondering why such a high profile Six Flags event didn’t have its own topic?

Pointbuzz is generally dedicated to Cedar Point. There is a multiple page topic on Goliath over at Coasterbuzz.

Ryan the Ride Mechanic has deduced that the piece that came out was not from the train ,but a piece of steel used as a fulcrum to aid in the removal of a part. It was inadvertently left in place when the train was put back in service.
