Favorite weather at the park?

A friend once said his favorite day at the park would be a very hot sunny day with loads of patrons so you can meet people in line. I told him he was crazy. I have gone on cooler and slightly rainy days and had a great time with all walk-ons. I have been there when the employees hand out salt tablets. What is you favorite park weather?

If I am going strictly to ride - mid to high 70s and partly cloudy.

If I am going to the beach or CPS - mid to high 80s and mostly sunny

Personally, I am not a fan of Halloweekends and the cold weather it brings. Cedar Point is a summer destination in my eyes, and when it is too cold to utilize the beach, I tend to go less.

Upper 60s' - low 70s' with low humidity. I get heat sickness ( not heat stroke) easily as I'm 6'1" 140lbs. I have no fat insulation under the skin so the heat goes internally quickly. On the doctors' office height/weight wall chart, I'm on the line of no body fat. In my younger (now 74) days, days there of in the upper 80s'/90s' were never a problem. So in the couple years pre-covid I would do the park whenever a high pressure front would bring in cool/low humidity from the north OR just go in for the evening at about 6pm. I've only been there once this year, Coastermania. The morning ERTs' were great and cool, after the lunch I went around taking some pictures and then left, starting to get too warm for me. Still looking to have many days there this season.

Move the park to Hawaii and I’m happy with Cedar Point’s weather.

Cool, overcast October days are my favorite. As long as it's dry and rides can open. Nothing like a fall day in the park without breaking a sweat

The only time I ever go to CP is in the middle of the summer, usually when it's pretty hot. I typically hate hot weather. With that being said, all my memories of Cedar Point involve super hot, sunscreen smelling, hot grease sniffing days. I don't want it crowded, obviously, but give me hot as heck temps (which again, I want to make abundantly clear, I HATE, and Fall is by FAR my favorite season) and I'm happy. It's a nostalgia and comfort thing for me I guess.

My favorite weather in Ohio also happens to be my favorite weather at Cedar Point which also happens to be my favorite weather on the planet; fall in the midwest. Warm (but not oppressive) sunny days with no humidity, cool (but not freezing) nights...not to mention an early sunset that turns the lights on earlier and lets you explore the park in the dark.

Ah yes, remembering (actually trying to forget) those end of October end of the day temperatures in the 30s' standing on the MF and TTD platforms with the cold northwest wind blowing thru. Brrrr.

TTD, standing shivering on the platform, get on, launch, and temperature was actually warmer at 400' high.

End of October = too late.

Hot and humid. Love the evenings when it's hot and sticky. Don't know why but just do.

Second most favorite is fall, Halloweekends, evening and temp just right where the fog machines they use cover the midways and drifts to other parts of the park. Like covering TTD at the base of the ride. Makes it so cool!

I am not a fan of sweating and I feel physically sick from the heat when it reaches close to 90. I have left the park when everything was a walk on in 95 degree weather because I just physically can't do it. Low 70s is the best for me. I've been to the park in light snow and was fine with that. I dressed in layers and was perfectly comfortable. I can't get naked enough to make 95 comfortable unless there's a pool involved.

September weekends... days are warm but not so frikkin humid. Nights are cooler and breezier.

Sunset views from the top of Millie with no deoderant failure or overwhelming stench of tanning butter.

I do enjoy watching, from the shade on a scorching day, adults attempting to re-capture their children after coating them liberally with sunscreen/80W90 oil.

I feel you, Paisley. One time I had to go to first aid and then home because of dehydration from the heat. Complaining about the weather aside, my favorite would have to be slightly windy and rainy, with some sun later on. That way there isn't as much people in the park and you've got an easier time getting on the rides. 60's or 70's are the best as far as temperatures go.

Colder rainy October fridays were my favorite. Not a downpour that closes many rides but enough drizzle to make the Halloween atmosphere pop. Also, Summer days when it starts off with heavy rain or storms then clears up makes for a great park day because people have given up already and left.

^Exactly. Throw in some lake breeze, and it's perfect.

Drizzly Friday nights at Haunt were my favorite until the 2007 rain policy started
